Example embodiments provide techniques for configuring a system to receive an input at a source device and present an output at another device within the same space as the source device. The output device may be selected based on various factors relating to the capabilities of the output device, the type of output responsive to the user input, whether the output device is active, whether the output device was recently used and others.

Output device selection

Systems and methods for floor plan generation for device visualization and use are disclosed. For example, image data may be utilized to segment a building from non-building elements in an image, and the outline of the building may be utilized to generate a floor plan of the building. A user interface may be generated to present the floor plan and allow for placement of representations of walls, doors, windows, and electronic devices within the floor plan. Placement of these elements may be performed in response to input from a user and/or may be performed automatically utilizing naming indicators, device-affinity data, historical usage data, signal-strength data, etc. Once placed, the device representations may be utilized to operate the devices and display related information, such as alerts.

Floor plan generation for device visualization and use

Devices and techniques are generally described for an interruption model for a user device. In various examples, first metadata related to first content executing on a user device may be determined. In some examples, second metadata related to second content for execution by the user device may be determined. In various examples, an output configuration for the user device may be determined using the first metadata and the second metadata. In some examples, the output configuration may result from identification of the second content to the user device during execution of the first content.
