A bar linkage for a pipe coupling can include a first bar configured to span two end rings of the pipe coupling; a second bar configured to span the two end rings of the pipe coupling; and a single tensioner extending through each of the first bar and the second bar and joining the first bar to the second bar along an axis of the bar linkage in an assembled condition of the bar linkage, the tensioner configured to draw the first bar towards the second bar, the first bar and the second bar able to be angled with respect to each other and with respect to the axis of the pipe coupling in a tightened condition of the pipe coupling when viewing the bar linkage from the top when the pipe coupling couples pipes of unequal diameter.

A method of manufacturing a cold box core includes injecting unbonded sand into a cold box core tool, the unbonded sand including sand mixed with a resin, the cold box core tool including: a first platen; a first insert half secured to the first platen; a second platen; and a second insert half secured to the second platen and configured to alternately mate with and separate from the first insert half, each of the first insert half and the second insert half being three-dimensionally printed from a polymer material, the first insert half and the second insert half together forming a cavity therebetween defining an outer geometric shape of the cold box core; and injecting gas into the unbonded sand to harden the cold box core.

A method for forming a monolithic bypass includes pouring a molten metal into a monolithic bypass mold cavity of a mold, the monolithic bypass mold cavity shaped complimentary to a shape of the monolithic bypass; forming the monolithic bypass, the monolithic bypass comprising a bypass valve body disposed between an upstream conduit and a downstream conduit, an inlet opening defined by the upstream conduit, an outlet opening defined by the downstream conduit, a bypass bore extending through the upstream conduit, the bypass valve body, and the downstream conduit from the inlet opening to the outlet opening, the inlet opening and the outlet opening configured to attach to a primary valve body, the monolithic bypass defining a U-shape, the monolithic bypass and the bypass bore each being seamless; and removing the monolithic bypass from the mold.

A method of manufacturing a component of a water infrastructure system can include carrying a mobile manufacturing platform with a vehicle from a storage site to a worksite located remotely from the storage site, the mobile manufacturing platform including a control unit; and a manufacturing unit operatively coupled to the control unit; sending the solid model of a first component or an equivalent thereof to the manufacturing unit; fabricating a second component using an automated manufacturing process based on the solid model of the first component saved on a computer-readable storage medium operatively coupled to the control unit; and returning the system from the worksite to the storage site.
