Devices, systems, and methods for drawing tissue walls together using a first tissue anchoring element and a second tissue anchoring element spaced apart from each other. The first tissue anchoring element is thinner than the second tissue anchoring element. The first tissue anchoring element may be a suture, optionally including a suture anchor. The second tissue anchoring element may be an expandable tissue anchoring element, such as a stent, expandable from a delivery configuration to a deployed configuration. The second tissue anchoring element may have a passage therethrough allowing passage of materials through the tissue walls, and creating an anastomosis therebetween.

Devices, systems, and methods for anchoring tissue

A delivery device may be configured to deliver an agent to a target tissue through a channel of a medical device, the delivery device may include a body including (a) a coupling region configured to removably attach to a handle of the medical device, and (b) a coupler including an exit port for aligning with a port of the channel, wherein the coupler is configured to mate with the port of the channel; a source of an agent; and a source of pressurized fluid. The body, the source of agent, and the source of pressurized fluid may be arranged to deliver agent and pressurized fluid to the exit port for delivery through the channel.

A medical stent may include a tubular support structure including a plurality of struts defining a plurality of cells disposed between the plurality of struts. A polymeric coating may be disposed over the tubular support structure such that a first portion of the plurality of cells are closed by the polymeric coating in a first region of the tubular support structure and a second portion of the plurality of cells in a second region of the tubular support structure remain open to fluid flow and/or tissue ingrowth therethrough. An endoluminal stent and associated methods for placing the endoluminal stent in a lumen of a trachea of a patient. The stent includes an elongate framework having a first open end, a second open end opposite the first open end, and a lumen extending from the first open end to the second open end. The elongate framework includes a first edge extending from the first open end to the second open end, a second edge extending from the first open end to the second open end, and an opening between the first edge and the second edge extending from the first open end to the second open end such that the stent has a C-shaped cross-section. The stent may be implanted in a trachea with the opening positioned along a posterior wall of the trachea adjacent the trachealis muscle.

Endoluminal stents and methods of delivery

Tracheal stents may include a plurality of wave form structures each extending radially about the support structure, a plurality of axial loop members extending axially between adjacent wave form structures and a polymeric covering disposed thereover. Tracheal stents may include an expandable metal structure and a plurality of spacer fins extending above an outer surface of the expandable metal structure. The plurality of spacer fins may be formed of a material different than that of the expandable metal structure.

A stent covering includes a polymeric tube having a first end, a second end and a length extending therebetween, the polymeric tube including an inner surface defining a lumen and an outer surface. A plurality of tissue ingrowth features are formed on the outer surface of the polymeric tube, at least some of the plurality of tissue ingrowth features including polymeric loops that extend above the outer surface such that, once implanted, tissue can grow between the outer surface and the polymeric loops. A stent may include such a stent covering.

An endoprosthesis may include an expandable tubular framework expandable from a compressed state to an expanded state and include a plurality of strut rows, wherein adjacent strut rows define interstices spacing the adjacent strut rows apart, and a plurality of connectors extending across the interstices and interconnecting adjacent strut rows, at least some of the plurality of connectors defining a flexible hinge portion. The lengths of the interstices between adjacent strut rows may vary along the length of the expandable tubular framework. The plurality of connectors extend radially outward beyond an outer diameter of the plurality of strut rows in the expanded state. The plurality of connectors are configured to engage a wall of a body lumen in the expanded state to inhibit migration of the endoprosthesis subsequent implanting the endoprosthesis in the body lumen.

An endoprosthesis includes an expandable tubular framework having a first end, a second end, and a lumen extending therethrough along a longitudinal axis. The expandable tubular framework includes a plurality of interconnected struts. The interconnected struts include a radially outward face which includes a plurality of anti-migration grooves defining anti-migration teeth formed therebetween. The anti-migration teeth are configured to engage tissue to resist migration of the endoprosthesis within a body lumen.
