A base for an e-vaping device is configured to couple with multiple cartridges configured to generate separate, respective dispersions. The cartridges may include one or more atomizer assemblies or vaporizer assemblies. The base may include multiple connectors electrically coupled to the power supply. The connectors may be configured to couple multiple dispersion generators to a power supply of the base. The base may include control circuitry configured to independently control dispersion generation by dispersion generators coupled to the base. The control circuitry may independently control dispersion generation by the first and second cartridges based on cartridge information accessed through at least one of the first and second connectors. The control circuitry may control dispersion generation by controlling power supplied to the dispersion generators.

A non-combustible aerosol system includes a heater configured to supply heat to a heating chamber and a housing configured to be inserted into the heating chamber. The housing defines an internal volume for containing a solid substrate. The housing includes a plurality of internal structures extending from a first end of the housing to a second end of the housing, the plurality of internal structures extending through the internal volume, the plurality of internal structures being configured to heat the solid substrate to generate an aerosol by conducting the heat supplied by the heater to the internal volume.

An oral product includes a body that is wholly receivable in an oral cavity. The body includes a mouth-stable polymer matrix, cellulosic fibers embedded in the mouth-stable polymer matrix, and nicotine or a derivative thereof dispersed in the mouth-stable polymer matrix. The oral product is adapted to release the nicotine or derivative thereof from the body when the body is received within the oral cavity and exposed to saliva.

An orally-enjoyable tobacco product includes a portion of smokeless tobacco comprising an active ingredient and either: (1) a collection of tobacco particles at least partially enclosed by a coating comprising a water-soluble non-crosslinked component and a substantially water-insoluble cross-linked component, or (2) a pouch comprising smokeless tobacco enclosed in a water-permeable wrapper. The active ingredient is selected from the group consisting of a mercaptan, camphor, borneol, isoborneol, bornyl acetate, isobornyl acetate, mono-bornyl succinate, mono-isobornyl succinate, mono-bornyl formate, and mono-isobornyl formate. The active ingredient is present in an amount effective to reduce or eliminate the sensory irritation arising from the smokeless tobacco.

An aerosol-generating device includes a heating chamber structure, a heater coupled to the heating chamber structure, and a compression assembly. The heating chamber structure defines a fixed-volume enclosure and is configured to hold an aerosol-forming substrate within a first region of the enclosure. The heater is proximate to a first surface that at least partly defines the first region and is configured to generate heat that is transmitted into the first region to cause the aerosol-forming substrate to form an aerosol without any combustion. The compression assembly includes a compression plate and a compression actuator. The compression plate and the first surface define opposing boundaries of the first region. The compression actuator moves the compression plate through the enclosure to adjustably compress the aerosol-forming substrate in the first region against the first surface.
