A method of enrolling a user at a biometric lockset is described. The method includes receiving user access information from a mobile device of an administrative user of the biometric lockset. The user access information indicates to the biometric lockset to enter an enrollment mode in which a user identity is associated with fingerprint data in a user entry within a memory of the biometric lockset. A plurality of different light codes are displayed on the lockset, each one of the plurality of light codes representative of a different state of fingerprint data capture. A message is transmitted to the mobile device, and corresponds to the light code displayed at the lockset. The completed fingerprint data is stored in association with the user identity of the user in the user entry.

System and method of enrolling users of a wireless biometric lockset

An electronic lock may be used to monitor and control access throughout a home. The electronic lock is preferably mounted to a main enter/exit door on the home as this provides a good point of contact for users entering and leaving the home. The electronic lock may monitor users, appliances, safety, and operation of interior doors. Access may be controlled and/or monitored by users with a mobile device or through any other similar device.

Some embodiments concern a method of transmitting electrical signals. The method can include: using a global positioning satellite receiver to determine a first location of a first electrical device; using a first transmitter to transmit the first location to a first server; using a receiver to receive information identifying at least one first unused frequency at the first location from the first server; selecting a first transmission frequency from the at least one first unused frequency; and communicating the first transmission frequency to a user.
