The system and method for imaging having filter containing polarized elements, multispectral elements or both being oscillated in circular or linear motion so each individual pixel will view a scene thru the individual filters. The motion of the filter is synchronized with a frame rate of an imager. In one example this is accomplished by micro actuators. Each pixel sampling feeds a processor detection algorithm that determines if a multispectral/polarization signature is present in the scene.

An integrated architecture and its associated sensors and processing software subsystems are defined and developed allowing a conventional unguided bullet to be transformed into a guided bullet without the use of an on-board inertial measurement unit (IMU). Some important SW components of the present disclosure include a target state estimator (TSE); a bullet state estimator (BSE); Multi-Object Tracking and Data Association; NTS GL; and a Data Link. Pre-conversion of two angles and range information of an OI sensor from spherical coordinates into Cartesian coordinates eliminates the Jacobian dependency in the H matrix for the BSE, thus increasing the miss distance performance accuracy of the bullet target engagement system.

The system and method for EO/IR and RF sensor fusion and tracking using a dual extended Kalman filter (EKF) system provides a dynamic mixing scheme leveraging the strength of each individual sensor to adaptively combine both sensors' measurements and dynamically mix them based on the actual relative geometries between the sensors and objects of interest. In some cases the objects are adversarial targets and other times they are assets.

EOIR and RF sensors fusion and tracking using a dual EKFs system

A tail kit assembly of a guided munition having a tail kit base connected to a trailing end of a projectile body. The tail kit base is rotatable relative to the projectile body. A trimmable rudder has forward and rearward ends. The forward end is pivotally coupled to the tail kit base, such that the trimmable rudder can, relative to the tail kit base, between retracted and extended orientations. An actuator is fixed between the tail kit base and the rearward end of the trimmable rudder. The actuator is electrically coupled to an onboard guidance system that controls actuation of the actuator to pivot the trimmable rudder between the retracted orientation and the extended orientation.

The system and method for accurately determining range-to-go for the time-delayed command detonation of a projectile. Using dual laser and/or radio frequency detectors on a spinning projectile to determine the range-to-go, time-to-go, or lateral offset from the projectile to the target. The detectors are forward facing and rear facing and are located in a tail kit such that cost can be greatly reduced on a spinning projectile. The deployable detector(s) may be a light pipe, mirrors, or the like and comprise APD or PIN diodes.

Deployable, forward looking range sensor for command detonation

An automatic system is provided for alerting ground personnel as to the existence of a threat to commercial aircraft in which the threat is determined by a classified system, but in which the local area network employed by the military missile warning is isolated from an unclassified local network coupled to the aircraft's transponder which transmits the threat existence and status to ground personnel. The barrier to transmitting classified information involves both filtering between the classified LAN and unclassified LAN, the use of only discrete signaling lines in the classified LAN isolated by opto-electronics to provide physical separation between the two local area networks, and communications formatting which precludes the transmission of classified information across the barrier between the classified local area network and the unclassified local area network.
