A wristband locking mechanism for a wearable electronic device, a wristband, a wearable electronic device and a method of securing an article to a person. The wristband locking mechanism includes a clasp assembly with independently-operable spring-biased actuators such that the wristband locking mechanism cannot be unlocked using one hand. The use of sensors, processors, communication equipment and associated components within the wearable electronic device allows a caregiver to monitor one or more of location, environmental, physiological and activity data of a wearer of the device, while the requirement for two-handed operation for unlocking of the wristband locking mechanism provides a deterrent against intentional or unintentional removal of the attached article or wearable electronic device by the wearer.

A camera control key assembly including a metal housing with a pocket containing a sensor window, a metal strip abutting a side of the sensor window, a spacer positioned to abut the metal strip, at least one capacitive touch sensor abutting the spacer, and a control key set into the pocket of the housing and contacting a first side of the sensor window. Preferably, the plastic sensor window is insert molded into the metal housing making the assembly inherently watertight. The assembly comprises at least one force concentrator on the control key to act upon the sensor window which in turn allows the capacitive touch sensor to register a multitude of different user inputs, including pressure, varied pressure, duration, taps, slides and swipes.

A cap-locking assembly includes an inner cap having a ribbed outer surface and a locking cap. The locking cap includes opposing first and second engagement mechanisms, opposing first and second stabilizing ridges, and a plurality of ramped tabs, all of which are disposed on the interior surface of the locking cap. When the ramped tabs engage a lower edge of the inner cap they retain the inner cap inside the locking cap. Further, the opposing first and second stabilizing ridges coaxially align the inner cap and the locking cap. Finally, the opposing first and second engagement mechanisms engage with the ribbed outer surface of the inner cap upon application of an inward force to the locking cap.

An extendable stick includes an elongate body comprising a first member, a second member, and a third member arranged in a telescopic nesting formation. A pulley system is disposed within the elongate body, wherein the pulley system is in operative communication with the first, second, and third members of the elongate body to extend the first member and the third member simultaneously outwardly from the elongate body and retract the first member and the third member simultaneously inwardly from the elongate body.

An apparatus to retain an article includes a housing, a first jaw, a second opposed jaw, a pivoting ratchet arm, and a lever. The housing is adapted to receive a handle. The first jaw is adapted to pivot with respect to the housing. The pivoting ratchet arm is dimensioned to engage ratchet teeth of the first jaw when in an actuated position. The lever is connected to the ratchet arm and actuating the lever causes the ratchet arm to move into the actuated position to incrementally pivot the first jaw toward the second jaw.

A refill adapted for use with a volatile material dispenser comprises a body adapted to hold a volatile material and a wick disposed within the body and extending out of the refill. The wick is adapted to transport the volatile material from the body out of the refill. One or more features of the refill allow the refill to be easily inserted into a volatile material dispenser and/or allow air to flow around the refill.

A computer tablet storage system. The system may have one or many main docks and one or many tablet holders. A computer tablet is retained within each tablet holder, and the tablet holder is insertable into and removable from an associated main dock. While inside the main dock, the computer tablet is protected against damage and unauthorized use. The main dock includes a door aperture and a tablet tray assembly movable toward and away from the bay door aperture and within the dock housing. The tablet holder (with tablet therein) is releasably engageable with the tray assembly. In the system, the tablet tray assembly is movable between a forward position in which a tablet is extended through the bay door for use, and a tray back position in which the tablet is retracted completely within the dock housing interior. A master control may regulate operation of the system.

Electronic tablet storage and management apparatus and system

A volatile material dispenser includes a housing, a retention mechanism coupled to the housing, and a compatible volatile material refill that includes a first set of dimensions and a wick extending therefrom. An adapter is removeably attached to a portion of the compatible volatile material refill. The retention mechanism non-removeably retains the adapter to the housing when the compatible volatile material refill and adapter combination are inserted therein. Further, when the compatible volatile material refill is removed from the adapter, the adapter prevents incompatible volatile material refills having a second set of dimensions different from the first set of dimensions from being attached to the housing.
