A machine for dispensing an individual portion of a frozen dessert may include a cartridge cart having walls forming a cavity having a longitudinal central axis and configured to accommodate a cartridge. The cartridge may include a tube having first and second ends, a nozzle disposed at the first end, and a piston disposed between the nozzle and the second end and configured to slidably move along the tube. The individual portion of the frozen dessert may be contained within the tube between the nozzle and the piston. The machine may also include a plunger, a drive source operably coupled to the plunger and configured to drive the plunger along the central axis, and a support configured to support the first end of the cartridge such that actuating the drive source causes the individual portion of frozen dessert to dispense through the nozzle.

A portable DS device includes a device housing, device-side electrical contacts, a computing system and a removable sensor receiver assembly. The device housing includes a removable sensor receiver compartment. The device-side electrical contacts are positioned in or adjacent to the removable sensor receiver compartment. A sterilization, disinfection, sanitization, or decontamination system having a chamber defining a region, and a generator for creating a free radical effluent with reactive oxygen, nitrogen, and other species and/or a vaporizer. A closed loop circulating system without a free-radical destroyer is provided for supplying the mixture of free radicals from the generator mixed with the hydrogen peroxide solution in the form of the effluent to the chamber. The system is used in sterilizing, disinfecting, sanitizing, or decontaminating items in the chamber or room and, with a wound chamber, in treating wounds on a body. The wound chamber may be designed to maintain separation from wounds being treated. Various embodiments can control moisture to reduce or avoid unwanted condensation. Some embodiments can be incorporated into an appliance having a closed space, such as a washing machine. Some embodiments may include a residual coating device that deposits a bactericidal coating on sterilized items.

The body defines a test volume between a first surface and an opposing second surface spaced from the first surface a distance that allows a fluid to enter the test volume from a fluid inlet, which is communicatively coupled to the test volume, via capillary action. The system includes a pump, a heat exchanger, a bladder, a thermometer, and a controller. The heat exchanger is in fluid communication with the pump. The bladder is configured to be placed over a carotid artery, and is in fluid communication with the heat exchanger. The thermometer is located with respect to the heat exchanger and configured to measure a temperature of fluid downstream from the heat exchanger. The controller is in electrical communication 28 with the thermometer and the heat exchanger. The controller is configured to 20 control power delivered to or flow through the heat exchanger such that the temperature of the fluid downstream from the heat exchanger measured by the thermometer is between 2 degrees C. and 10 degrees C. for between 10 minutes and 50 minutes.
