Devices, methods and products are described that provide information handling devices with touch-based reflective display. One aspect provides an information handling device including one or more processors; a display device; and a touchable control area having one or more configurable areas, said one or more configurable areas providing both reflective display and accepting touch-based input; wherein said touchable control area is disposed in place of at least a portion of a standard component of said information handling device, other than said display device, and provides functionality equivalent thereto in one or more configurations. One aspect includes ascertaining a power state transitioning pattern of an information handling device; responsive to a power state transition to a first lower power state at the information handling device, performing an additional power state transition to automatically transition the information handling device to a second lower power state, the second lower power state being a lower power state relative to the first lower power state; and proactively resuming the information handling device to the first lower power state responsive to a timing threshold being met; wherein the timing threshold is determined based on the power state transitioning pattern ascertained. An assembly can include a first component; a second component; and an interconnection mechanism for pivotable interconnection of the first component and the second component about a pivot axis where the interconnection mechanism includes a latch mechanism to latch the second component to the interconnection mechanism, an actuator to unlatch the latch mechanism, an obstruction to obstruct actuation of the actuator, and a sliding bar slidable in a first direction to move the obstruction to an obstructing position that obstructs actuation of the actuator and slidable in a second direction to move the obstruction to an unobstructing position that permits actuation of the actuator.
