A uniplanar bone anchor including a housing and a bone screw is provided. The lower region of the housing defines mating elements that mate with engaging elements on the bone screw to limit movement of the housing relative to the bone screw to a single plane.

An enclosure for positioning within a vehicle and having a secure holding cell for housing one or more persons. The enclosure includes a body that forms the holding cell to contain the persons. Benches are positioned within the interior space to accommodate the persons. An area below the benches forms a storage compartment. Access doors to the storage compartments are positioned outside of the holding cell along an exterior side of the enclosure. Doors that enclose the holding cell are movable between open and closed positions and include notches to provide access to the storage compartments.

Embodiments of the present invention provide apparatus for guiding medical instruments, including a handle with a handle shaft, an alignment stand configured to interface with a receptacle of a cervical plate, an instrument guide tube coupled to the alignment stand and having a lumen therethrough, such that when the alignment stand is in communication with the receptacle, the instrument guide tube is positioned over a bone screw receiving hole in the cervical plate and an axial centerline of the instrument guide tube passes through the bone screw receiving hole. Instrument guide tube may swivel about the alignment stand via a rotational coupling, or may be one of two fixed instrument guide tubes. Alignment stand may include an angle-limiting post to interface with the receptacle to permit ranges of tilting, or a stem and optional bone pin for holding the alignment stand at a substantially constant angle in the receptacle.

A self-drilling bone screw includes a screw body centered on a longitudinal axis and having an external thread winding. The bone screw has a head portion at one end of the screw body and a drill point at the other end. The drill point has two blades, each having a cutting lip and a primary relief surface trailing from the cutting lip. The two blades defining a flute between them. The flute has an opening to the side of the screw body, which opening spans an obtuse angle, such as about 120&#xb0;, about the longitudinal axis. The primary relief surfaces have a lip relief angle of about 30&#xb0;. The drill point has a point angle of about 100&#xb0;.

Self drilling bone screw

A splitter card including a circuit board on which line, data and voice connectors are mounted. The connectors include contacts electrically connected to termination posts that extend through the circuit board such that ends of the termination posts are exposed. A plurality of splitters are connected to the circuit board for splitting composite signals into voice and data signals. The circuit board includes conductive paths for directing composite signals from the line connector to the splitters, for directing voice signals from the splitters to the voice connectors, and for directing data signals from the splitters to the data connectors. Dielectric insulator members are connected to the circuit board to cover the exposed ends of the termination posts.

Splitter device for MDU/MTU environments

A retainer for retaining a mating connector in conductive contact with its corresponding mating connector. The retainer includes a base which defines a hole therethrough. A post extends from the base in a direction perpendicular to the base. Disposed on the post is a tapered ledge. The ledge is tapered in a direction away from the base so that the ledge has a first surface at an angle relative to the base. The base may also include a cleat to prevent rotation of the retainer relative to the mating connectors. The cleat is preferably a linear strip extending from and along an edge of the base. The retainer may be used in an assembly including a connector, a mounting bracket and a mating connector.

A telecommunications device including a chassis having a card housing for containing a plurality of splitter cards. The housing includes front and back ends. The front end defines an access opening for allowing the splitter cards to be inserted into or removed from the card housing. The device also includes a plurality of card edge connectors for providing electrical connections with the splitter cards. The card edge connectors are located within the card housing adjacent to the back end of the housing. The device further includes LINE, POTS and DATA connectors electrically connected to the card edge connectors. Guide members are located adjacent the back end of the housing for directing the splitter cards into the card edge connectors as the splitter cards are inserted into the card housing. The guide members include ramps aligned at oblique angles relative to a direction of insertion of the splitter cards.

The retainer may be used in an assembly including a connector, a mounting bracket and a mating connector.
