A protective case for a bicycle which is an enclosed hollow rectangular cuboid including a top half; a lower half; wherein said top and lower halves releasably connect together to form the enclosed cuboid; and wherein each of said halves has: rigid outer wall sections for each surface of the cuboid so that the cuboid is fully enclosed; wherein at least the lower half has a stand attached thereto and said stand being adapted to connect to a bicycle frame of the bicycle and said case being adapted to support said bicycle when the stand is in, either: a non-extended position; and an extended position.

A post is provided which includes apertures on alternate sides of the post which, in use, receive and retain at least one cable therein, the same number of apertures are on each side of the post wherein each aperture: has a side opening in the form of a mouth, wherein the mouth is at a distal region thereof configured to have a top surface with an angle greater than the angle at a proximate region of the mouth so as to reduce the travel path of, and/or; any frictional contact with; the cable, during ejection from aperture following a collision.

A connecting device is provided, including an elongate member (EM) having two or more engaging elements which are spaced along the length of the EM; and at least one engaging element which orthogonally extends out from the EM and which has a portion which also extends, in a direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the EM, a distance Y, wherein distance Y extends substantially 15-20% of the length of the EM.

Connecting devices

A slider assembly including a front section, and a back section, where the front section is adapted to conform to the cross sectional profile of rails forming the terminal end of a guardrail, or other barrier, to which the slider assembly will be fitted in use. The front section in combination with the back section create an internal space therebetween capable of substantially surrounding both an associated first rail and an associated second rail of the terminal end, and at least two further rails located downstream of the first and second rail. The slider assembly includes first and second opposed portions configured to move with respect to each other so the slider assembly can, in use, apply an increasing compressive force to telescoping rails as a consequence of the slider assembly travelling along one or more subsequent rail(s) during telescoping.
