Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods, and computer program products for temporarily suspending a workflow associated with a work item. The system is configured to establish a communicable link with a queue to retrieve a first work item. The system is configured to receive a notification from a first device, where the notification comprises a second work item. The system temporarily suspends the first work item and the work flow associated with the first work item, in response to receiving the second work item from the first device. Once the system determines execution of a user action associated with the second work item, it restores the suspended first work item and the one or more suspended sessions associated with the first work item.

Embodiments for integrating production support features are included in systems for receiving modules from a client application associated with an operator device. The embodiments include selecting at least one client module from the received modules, identifying a trace objective for the at least one client module, selecting a data collection level based on the trace objective, and collecting, by a processor, data associated with the at least one client module in response to the selected data collection level. The systems are combinable with additional production support features including event monitoring.

Embodiments for providing roles based system access to a user include systems for identifying an application login event and a role associated with the login event. Further the embodiments include selecting code associated with the identified role, inserting, by a processor, the code into an application shell; and providing, by a processor, the content of the shell to an application associated with a computing device of the user in response to the login event, the content of the shell comprising only role specific data. In specific embodiments, data unrelated to the identified role is not provided to the application or stored in the computing device.

Embodiments for integrating production support features and recording client events are included in systems that initiate recording of the events occurring on a client application. The systems further receive event data transmitted from the client application, provide the event data on a display of a device of a user in real time, and allow the user to detect issues associated with the client application. The systems are combinable with additional production support features including module tracing.

Embodiments for updating roles based system access to a user include systems for identifying an application login event and a role associated with the login event. Further the embodiments include selecting an application shell comprising data for an application, the data being associated with the identified role and where the application is a first version of the application, selecting a second version of the application that is different from the first version, modifying the data of the application shell in response to selecting the second version of the application, and providing the modified data to the application associated with a computing device of a user in response to the login event. In specific embodiments, data unrelated to the identified role is not provided to the application or stored in the computing device.
