Particular embodiments may provide a virtual off-road guide for a learning vehicle. In some embodiments, a control system for a learning vehicle comprises one or more processors and a memory coupled to the processors comprising instructions executable by the processors, the processors being operable when executing the instructions to receive a trace of an off-road trail traversed by a precedent vehicle and corresponding trace parameters; in response to receiving the trace parameters, adjusting one or more driving parameters of the learning vehicle based on the trace parameters; and providing instructions for traversing the trace based on the trace parameters. In some embodiments, the trace parameters comprise location, orientation, relative position along the off-road trail, ride height, drive mode, brake regeneration level, steering angle, power consumption, acceleration, or torque.

In an illustrative embodiment, a computing device has computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions configured to cause the computing device to identify a current travel capability for the vehicle based on available energy aboard the vehicle. A selection of travel information is presented to a user of the computing device. The travel information may include information including a duration of charging required to provide sufficient additional energy to perform a first trip, at least one range of additional travel possible without additional charging after performing the first trip, and at least one potential intermediate destination reachable while performing the first trip without undertaking additional charging.

An in-vehicle control system for providing an energy consumption map for a vehicle is provided. The method includes displaying, on a display of a computing system of the vehicle, a map of an environment external to the vehicle. The map includes a predicted drive path extending between an initial location of the vehicle and a final destination of the vehicle within the environment. The method further includes generating, by the computing system, and based on the predicted drive path, a prediction of the energy consumption of the vehicle along the one or more trajectories of the predicted drive path, and displaying, on the display of the computing system, the predicted energy consumption of the vehicle along the one or more trajectories of the predicted drive path. The predicted energy consumption of the vehicle is displayed so as to at least partially overlay the predicted drive path.

The specified area is divided into a plurality of tiles. Based on the information regarding the object, one or more of the tiles is classified as unobstructed tiles. Based on the one or more unobstructed tiles and a footprint of the vehicle, a parking area for the vehicle is identified within the specified area. The footprint of the vehicle fits inside the parking area. A visualization associated with the parking area is generated.

A partial range of the electric vehicle corresponding to a predetermined percentage of the current state of charge of a battery of the electric vehicle is determined. The suggested charging station is generated for presentation at a display.

A destination of the electric vehicle is determined, and a schedule of a user of the electric vehicle is accessed. In an illustrative embodiment, a computing device executes instructions to present an integrated route map. An input is received indicative of a trip to be made to a destination by a traveler. A weather forecasting service is accessed from which expected weather conditions are accessible for the area through the projected time. The expected weather conditions are identified for the location at the projected time. Systems and methods are provided for presenting information related to electric charging stations for charging an electric vehicle. A first plurality of icons corresponding to an identified plurality of electric charging stations may be generated for presentation on a display. A zoom command to modify a zoom level of the map interface may be received, and in response to receiving the zoom command, a subset of the plurality of electric charging stations having a charging speed above a threshold charging speed may be identified, and a second plurality of icons, corresponding to the identified subset of the plurality of electric charging stations, may be generated for presentation at the display on a zoomed-out view of the map interface. Selectable options to display a detailed view of information related to an electric charger associated with an electric charger category from among multiple electric charger categories may be provided.

In an illustrative embodiment, a perimeter is determined indicating a travel range of a vehicle from a starting location based on the capacity of the battery system. An option is provided to generate an extended perimeter indicating an extended travel range of the vehicle travel from the starting location based on a recharge of the battery system at the at least one charging location. Map data is generated including at least one visualized travel range chosen from the perimeter and the extended perimeter.

Disclosed embodiments include systems, vehicles, and methods for receiving inputs indicative of a destination and a potential intermediate destination and determining a time potentially available at the intermediate destination. A second input is received that is indicative of a desired arrival time at the destination. A third input is received that is indicative of an intermediate destination to be visited before traveling to the destination. The time available at the intermediate destination is communicated to a user.

A system includes a processor configured to determine relative suitability of each lane on a current route for completing a maneuver on the route. The processor is also configured to display an ordered series of maneuver instructions, in conjunction with a route map, the instructions including arrows corresponding to each lane on a next-segment of the route and color coded in accordance with the determined suitability of each lane.
