A support mechanism for a vehicle seating assembly includes a seat frame moveable between a sitting position and a standing position and a support bracket coupled to a vehicle floor. A linkage assembly extends between the support bracket and the seat frame. The linkage assembly is positionable between a collapsed position if the seat frame is in the sitting position and an extended position if the seat frame is in the standing position and includes a first end rotatably coupled to the support bracket and a second end slidably coupled to the seat frame. A pawl assembly is engageable with the linkage assembly and positionable in an unlocked position if the linkage assembly is in the collapsed position and a locked position if the linkage assembly is in the extended position.

Support mechanism for seating assembly

A seating assembly includes a seat base operably coupled with a seatback. A panel assembly includes a first panel coupled with the seatback and a second panel hingedly coupled with the first panel. The second panel includes a connector assembly having a housing and a support slidably coupled with the housing. The second panel is movable between a first position and a second position. The second panel is vertically aligned with the first panel in the first position and is substantially coplanar with the first panel in the second position.

A retractable anchor assembly for a seating assembly includes an actuating arm operably coupled with a seatback and defining a guide slot. The actuating arm may be movable with the seatback. A guide plate may be coupled with a seat base and may define an arm receiving slot configured to receive the actuating arm. A support plate may be slidably coupled with the guide plate. The support plate may include a side fastener received by the guide slot of the actuating arm. An anchor may be coupled with the support plate. Movement of the actuating arm through the arm receiving slot may be configured to move the support plate and anchor between an extended positioned and a retracted position.
