Tools and techniques are described for selecting member sets for generating asymmetric queries. User interfaces provided by this description may include representations of different dimensions that include respective members. These dimensions define hierarchical data structures against which queries are run to generate requested reports. The user interfaces may include representations of members associated with different dimensions, with members from different dimensions arranged in selected orders. The user interfaces may also provide selection tools that activate symmetrical or asymmetrical rendering modes for constructing the query. In the symmetrical rendering mode, the query cross-joins all of the members selected from one dimension with all of the members selected from the other dimension. In the asymmetrical rendering mode, the query cross-joins the first-ordered member from one dimension with the first-ordered member from another dimension, cross-joins the second member from one dimension with the second member from another dimension, and so on.

Selecting member sets for generating asymmetric queries

The assembly of documents assembled by a team is simplified. Document sections are assigned to a team member from within a word-processing document. Once a document template is opened by a user, the different sections within the document may be assigned to team members. Once a section is assigned, a notification is sent to the team members indicating the assignment. The team member may access their assigned section(s) through the notification. The team member may also access a central location to edit the sections they have been assigned. Team members from within the document may also search and use content from one or more content libraries to assist in the document assembly. Newly created content may also be saved to a new and/or existing content library. The content is then available to other team members working on the same or different projects.

Method and system for document assembly

In one embodiment, a method for generating personalized information includes receiving age data related to the age of a first person, receiving a request for information from a user, and automatically identifying relevant event data in a database based on the age data. The relevant data includes information about a second, famous person different from the first person and wherein the second, famous person was involved with an associated event. The relevant data is associated with an age of the second, famous person when the second, famous person was involved with the associated event. The age of the second, famous person is with respect to a granularity of less than a year. The method further includes automatically providing the relevant data to the user.
