Orthopedic implant sizing instruments, systems, and methods for use during arthroplasty procedures, for example, radial head arthroplasty procedures, are provided. The sizing instruments include at least one sizer head having at least one visualization window or slot provided therethrough for allowing a user to visualize associated surgical structures or surfaces to ensure proper joint reduction. The orthopedic implant sizing instruments, systems, and/or related methods can utilize sizer heads and/or windows having a plurality of different sizes and/or shapes.

Wrists implants and methods are disclosed. A wrist implant can advantageously allow motion with respect to a reconstructed wrist to more closely resemble natural motion. For example, in one aspect, motion can include movement in more than one direction to allow for flexion/extension, rotational, and translational movement. The wrist implant can include a radial implant component and/or a carpal implant component with a bearing component or member disposed therebetween. The radial implant can have a radial articulation surface having at least one variable radius of curvature and/or a tray having a variable width.

Wrist implants and methods

A method of implanting a prosthesis relative to a carpal complex of a wrist is provided. The method can include providing a carpal implant having a body including an ulnar flange and a radial flange, and locating a bone abutment surface of the ulnar flange against a triquetrum of the carpal complex. The method can also include locating a bone abutment surface of the radial flange against a scaphoid of the carpal complex, and locating a first dorsal flange extending from the ulnar flange against a posterior surface of the triquetrum.

Method and apparatus for wrist arthroplasty

A prosthesis for placement relative to a carpal complex of a wrist can generally include a carpal implant having a body including an ulnar flange and a radial flange. The body can have a bone abutment surface and at least one flange extending from the bone abutment surface. The at least one flange can extend from the bone abutment surface a distance that spans at least one bone in an implanted position. The at least one flange can have a securing aperture that selectively receives a bone screw that advances into an identified bone of the carpal complex. A wrist bearing component can selectively mate with the carpal implant.

An implant assembly and associated method for selectively performing reverse and traditional arthroplasty for a shoulder joint that includes a humerus and a glenoid. The implant assembly may include a head, a cup, a humeral stem and an adaptor. The method includes inserting the humeral stem to the humerus and connecting a male taper of the adaptor to a female taper of the head. For reverse arthroplasty, the method includes attaching the adaptor to the glenoid and the cup to the stem. For traditional arthroplasty, the method includes attaching the adaptor to the humeral stem and the cup to the glenoid. The method also includes articulating the head with the cup.

Shoulder implant assembly

Disclosed is a set of prosthetic components for use in shoulder replacements. A glenoid component having a base and a plurality of coupling members are disclosed. The coupling members are used to couple the base to at least one of the acromion or coracoid process. A polymer insert which is configured to couple to the base member and articulate with a humeral component is provided.

Method and apparatus for performing a shoulder implant procedure

A prosthetic wrist having at least one of a radial insert, which is configured to be fixed to a radius of a patient, a carpal implant and a wrist bearing component. The carpal implant includes a body and a pair of flanges, each of which being skewed to the axis of the body in a manner that permits them to abut the ulnar side of the hamate bone and the radial side of the distal portion of the carpal bone complex, respectively. The radial insert may be provided with a plurality of modular portions to allow for selection and customization of an implant.

A prosthetic wrist having a radial insert, which is configured to be fixed to the resected radius of a patient, a carpal implant and a wrist bearing component. The carpal implant includes a body and a pair of flanges, each of which being skewed to the axis of the body in a manner that permits them to abut the ulnar side of the hamate bone and the radial side of the distal portion of the carpal bone complex, respectively. The wrist bearing component may include a bearing surface for contacting the radial insert that is defined by different radii in the coronal and sagittal planes and an alignment mechanism may be employed to fix the wrist bearing component in a desired orientation.

Method and apparatus for total wrist angled back carpal plate

A glenoid component for use in shoulder arthroplasty, the glenoid component is adapted to be implanted into a scapula and engaged by a head of a humeral component. The glenoid component has a body with a first articulating surface and a second medial surface opposite said first articulating surface. The first articulating surface adapted to be engaged by the head of the humeral component and the second medial surface is adapted to be secured to the scapula. A plurality of arcuate pegs, each of said arcuate pegs having a first end adapted to engage a cavity formed in the scapula and a second end extend from the medial surface.
