Consumable for an aerosol provision device

The present disclosure is directed to an aerosol delivery device and a holder for use with a removable cartridge. The holder includes a main body defining a receiving chamber configured to receive the cartridge, and a resonant transmitter located proximate at least a portion of the receiving chamber. The removable cartridge includes a reservoir containing an aerosol precursor composition, a liquid transport element, and a susceptor having an active portion around which at least a second end of the liquid transport element extends, at least the active portion of the susceptor being arranged to heat the second end of the liquid transport element and thereby heat aerosol precursor composition therein to form the aerosol. Opposing ends of the susceptor circumferentially and axially position the active portion of the susceptor within the cartridge.

Inductively heated aerosol delivery device consumable

The present disclosure is directed to the concept of integrating a charger with an electronic aerosol provision device into a single unit, so as to eliminate the need for a user to carry or stow charging cables, adaptors, and/or docks. In various implementations, the device utilizes a standard USB plug that is permanently attached to the device body and fully integrated with the charging circuitry. In some implementations, the plug may extend from an end of the device or be deployed from a side wall of the device and/or from the mouthpiece end of the device. The charger may be covered or otherwise hidden when the device is not charging.

The present invention includes an aerosol delivery device including a cartridge, an atomizer assembly arranged about a connecting end of the cartridge, and a control body operably engaged with the cartridge about the connecting end. The atomizer assembly includes a base defining a first surface engageable with the connecting end to define a reservoir chamber containing an aerosol precursor composition, an atomizer arranged about the first surface of the base, a liquid transport element defining opposing first and second ends with exposed end surfaces that are in fluid communication with the reservoir chamber, and a reservoir chamber sealing arrangement comprising a first sealing member to circumferentially seal the opposing first and second ends of the liquid transport element and expose the end surfaces thereof, such that the reservoir chamber is sealed by the reservoir chamber sealing arrangement except at the exposed end surfaces of the liquid transport element.

Aerosol delivery device with improved sealing arrangement

The present disclosure provides an aerosol consumable device. In some cases, the aerosol consumable device includes at a first end, a mouthpiece portion having a top surface comprising two or more crescent-shaped openings arranged on opposite sides of an aerosol cap having a closed end. The aerosol consumable device further comprises a liquid absorbing insert positioned within the mouthpiece portion between the first end and a second end opposite the first end, and an aerosol tube positioned between the liquid absorbing insert and the second end. The liquid absorbing insert defines an internal aerosol channel. Upon a draw on the mouthpiece portion by a user, a first portion of aerosol generated by the aerosol consumable device travels through the internal aerosol channel and through the crescent-shaped openings and the aerosol tube is configured to direct accumulated droplets on an inner surface of the aerosol tube into the liquid absorbing insert.

A system for testing a vapor product with a mouthpiece that has a non-circular cross section includes an adaptor coupled to a neck portion of a filter pad holder. The adaptor includes a nose to receive the neck portion and an adaptor body coupled to the nose. An opening is defined by the adaptor body and the nose, the opening extending through the adaptor body and the nose and configured to receive the neck portion. A sealing member is configured to be received by the adaptor and the filter pad holder. The sealing member includes a sealing member nose configured to be received by the neck portion, and a sealing member body coupled to the sealing member nose and configured to be received by the opening. The sealing member body defines an orifice, the orifice extending through the sealing member body.

The present disclosure is directed to a smoking article that comprises a holder that includes a receiving end and a mouth end, a removable cartridge configured to be received at the receiving end of the holder, the removable cartridge comprising a heat source configured to generate heat upon ignition thereof, and a substrate portion having opposed first and second ends, the heat source being disposed proximate the first end of the substrate portion, and the substrate portion including a substrate material having an aerosol precursor composition associated therewith, and an ejection mechanism configured to move the cartridge relative to the holder between a received position and an ejected position. In one implementation, the ejection mechanism comprises a pusher pin, a guide ring, a carrier sleeve, and a spring, wherein the cartridge is configured to be received into the carrier sleeve, and wherein the pusher pin is configured to move relative to the guide ring so as to actuate the carrier sleeve alternately between the received position and the ejected position.

A cartridge for selective delivery of aerosol precursor compositions includes a housing, and a reservoir disposed within the housing and defining three chambers each having an aerosol precursor composition therein. The reservoir is in fluid communication with an aerosol forming arrangement configured to form an aerosol from any of the aerosol precursor compositions. A selector defines one or more dispensing selectively aligned with one or more of the three chambers, such that the aerosol precursor composition disposed within each of the three chambers is capable of being dispensed therefrom through the selectively aligned dispensing ports to the aerosol forming arrangement. The cartridge further includes a flow tube extending longitudinally through a central axis of the reservoir and the selector so that each of the three chambers is arranged circumferentially around the flow tube, the flow tube being disposed so that the formed aerosol is transported through the flow tube.

Smoking article for selective delivery of an aerosol precursor composition, a cartridge, and a related method

The present disclosure relates to a cartridge for an aerosol delivery device and an aerosol delivery device that includes a cartridge. In various implementations the cartridge comprises a reservoir tank configured to contain an aerosol precursor composition, an opening configured to the permit aerosol precursor composition to pass therethrough, and two or more separate sections. At least two of the sections are configured to permit the aerosol precursor composition to pass therethrough, and at least one of the sections comprises a flavor section that contains a flavorant. A selected section of the two or more sections is configured to align with the opening so as to allow the aerosol precursor composition to flow from the reservoir tank through the opening and the selected section such that, when the flavor section is selected, a flavor from the flavorant is imparted to the aerosol precursor composition.

The present disclosure relates to a cartridge for an aerosol delivery device, an aerosol delivery device that includes the cartridge, and an aerosol device operation method. In various implementations the cartridge comprises a reservoir tank configured to contain an aerosol precursor composition, a masking disc proximate the aerosol precursor composition, and a flavor disc proximate the masking disc. At least one of the masking disc or the flavor disc is configured to be rotated relative to the other to align an opening of the masking disc with a selected section of the flavor disc so as to allow the aerosol precursor composition to flow from the reservoir tank through the opening of the masking disc and the selected section of the flavor disc, such that, when the flavor section is selected, the flavorant is imparted to the aerosol precursor composition.

Method and/or system for forming a radiation flood source. The radiation flood source includes a paper sheet, a pigmentless radioactive fill printed on the paper sheet, and a pigmented border printed on the paper sheet and around the pigmentless radioactive fill. In one embodiment the radiation flood source is formed by preparing a radioactive isotope carrier solution; loading the radioactive isotope carrier solution into a radioactive isotope carrier solution cartridge; loading a separate border cartridge into a plotter; selecting and configuring a shape of an active area; setting a border to be placed around the active area; printing the active area by utilizing the radioactive isotope carrier solution cartridge on a sheet substrate; and printing the border by utilizing the separate border cartridge on the sheet substrate.
