Sway bars are described that include at least an inner sway bar, a first outer sway bar, and a second outer sway bar. The sway bar includes a first coupling portion and a second coupling portion that can engage and disengage under control from a remote location. The sway bar includes a larger diameter, outer sway bar assembly that can be disengaged and a smaller diameter inner sway bar. The sway bar can include a housing to retain fluid.

Locking differentials are described that include a first orientation and a second orientation. In the first orientation, the locking differential has a default unlocked position and must be actuated to be locked. In the second orientation, the locking differential has a default locked position and must be actuated to be unlocked. The user selects whether the locking differential is in the first orientation or the second orientation.

Strut spacers are described that include at least a male component comprising an externally threaded surface and a female component comprising an internally threaded surface. Rotation of the male component or the female component adjusts the height of the strut spacer prior to installation within the motor vehicle. The strut spacer can optionally include a locking ring to lock the height of the strut spacer before installation.

The invention is generally directed to the field of fluid pressure operated devices such as air springs and fluid dampers and more specifically directed to the field of such devices having externally mounted structures. In particular, one of the mounting elements, such as a mounting hole for mounting the device between sprung and un-spring masses can be reoriented relative to the device and its externally mounted structures. Therefore, the reorientation of the mounting element may be achieved: using ordinary maintenance techniques and tools, without accessing the inside of the device and especially the fluid contained within the device, and/or without changing the length of the device.
