Vial containers including a collar which is attached to a vial or incorporated into a vial cap, a cap designed to receive a portion of the collar while covering the vial, and a container designed to receive a portion of the collar and encase the body of the vial are described herein. The collar, generally, includes a means for reversibly attaching to the cap and container.

A selector valve for a medical fluid delivery device is disclosed. The valve includes a valve bore in fluid communication with an outlet channel, first and second outlet ports, and a selector valve body which includes a valve stem located within the valve bore and having a flow passage. The selector valve body is adapted to place the flow passage in fluid communication with one of the first outlet port, the second outlet port, and a shut-off position. Further, the selector valve body includes a sealing arrangement having an elastomeric core disposed within a thin-walled valve stem which comprises a thin cylindrical sidewall in direct contact with the valve bore. When the elastomeric core and the valve stem are subjected to internal fluid pressure, the thin cylindrical sidewall of the valve stem expands outward to increase a sealing force between an outer diameter of the valve stem and the valve bore.

A pharmaceutical transport container includes a first body portion adapted to receive at least a portion of a pharmaceutical vial, a second body portion removably engaged with the first body portion to fully enclose the vial, and a flexible ring positioned in an interior cavity of the second body portion and configured to flex between a relaxed state and a radially-outward extended state. The pharmaceutical transport container may also include a removable end cap having a receiving chamber to receive the first body portion, and/or a guide tab extending from an exterior surface of the second body portion to engage a guide slot defined in a fluid injection system docking station, whereby the transport container translates axially and rotationally into the docking station to establish a fluid connection between the vial and a fluid connector mechanism or element disposed within the docking station.

The continuous fluid delivery systems includes a fluid pumping device comprising a pump housing comprising a base member with a plurality of inlet ports and at least one outlet port and at least two pairs of opposing pistons movably associated with the housing. Each pair of opposing pistons at least in part defines a respective pumping chamber of the fluid pumping device. The pistons in each pair of opposing pistons may be independently controlled such that any one of the plurality of inlet ports or the at least one outlet port is independently selectable to be in fluid communication with one of the respective pumping chambers. A drive system may be interfaced with the respective pistons to at least reciprocally operate the pistons relative to the base member. The pump housing and the at least two pairs of opposing pistons may comprise a disposable unit.

Continuous fluid delivery system

A device for delivery of a radiopharmaceutical and, in some embodiments, delivery of a pharmaceutical agent are provided herein. A fluid path set comprising a confluence valve, a four-way valve, and one or more tubing sections which are designed to place some combination of a radiopharmaceutical source, a medical fluid source, and a pharmaceutical agent source in sterile fluid communication with a patient or a waste receptacle. Also provided are holders for the fluid path set, and a sterile fluid delivery kit comprising the holder and fluid path set. A fluid delivery system may accept the holder with the fluid path set installed and various sources of radiopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and medical fluids. The fluid delivery system allows for automated mixing and delivery of exact amounts of these agents to a patient while improving efficiency and safety, and reducing waste.
