A damper assembly includes a housing including a wall defining a first aperture fluidly coupled to a second aperture, a first tubular member coupled to the housing, a second tubular member extending between the wall and the first tubular member, a first plunger coupled to the second tubular member and in sliding engagement with an inner surface of the wall and an outer surface of the first tubular member, a third member extending within the first tubular member, and a second plunger coupled to the third member and in sliding engagement with an inner surface of the first tubular member.

Position dependent damper

A valve assembly includes a valve body defining an inner volume, a flow controller positioned within the inner volume, a plug positioned within the inner volume, and a biasing element. The plug is spaced from the flow controller such that an intermediate chamber is defined between the plug and the flow controller. The biasing element is positioned in the intermediate chamber between the plug and the flow controller. The plug is repositionable within the inner volume and, as the plug moves within the inner volume, the plug interacts with the biasing element such that the biasing element provides a biasing force to the flow controller. The flow controller defines a passage having a varying size profile that varies in size based on the biasing force.

Load dependent damper for a vehicle suspension system

A vehicle includes a chassis, a front axle coupled to the chassis, a rear axle coupled to the chassis, a powertrain coupled to the chassis, a cab coupled to the chassis, a rear module coupled to the chassis behind the cab. The powertrain is configured to drive at least one of the front axle or the rear axle. The rear module is selectively reconfigurable between a plurality of configurations.

The damper assembly includes a housing including a wall defining a first aperture and a second aperture, a first tubular member coupled to the housing, a second tubular member slidably coupled to the housing and extending between the wall and the first tubular member, a piston coupled to the second tubular member, the piston engaging an inner surface of the wall and an outer surface of the first tubular member, and a conduit fluidly coupling the first aperture and the second aperture.

A vehicle includes a frame, a first mounting bracket, and a sway bar assembly. The frame includes a first member including a first opening and a second member including a second opening. The first mounting bracket is disposed proximal the first member and includes a first panel and a second panel. The first panel is substantially parallel to a surface of the first member and defines a bar opening that is substantially aligned with the first opening. The second panel extends substantially perpendicular to the first panel and includes an aperture that is substantially aligned with the bar opening. The sway bar assembly includes a bar having a first end and a second end. The bar extends through the first opening and the second opening and is rotatably coupled to the first mounting bracket.

A damper assembly for a vehicle suspension system includes a first damper and a second damper. The second damper includes a housing having a wall that at least partially surrounds at least a portion of the first damper, the volume between the wall and the first damper defining a chamber, and the wall defines an aperture. The second damper also includes a piston positioned within the chamber, a conduit defining a flow path that includes the aperture, and a flow control device disposed along the flow path. The second damper is configured to provide a damping force that varies based on the position of the piston within the chamber.

A vehicle includes a chassis, a suspension system coupled to the chassis, a front axle, a first rear axle, and a second rear axle coupled to the chassis by the suspension system, and a powertrain coupled to the chassis and at least one of the front axle, the first rear axle, and the second rear axle. Systems and apparatuses include a chassis mount configured to couple to a vehicle chassis, an axle assembly including wheels, a four-bar linkage coupling the axle assembly to the chassis mount, and a hydraulic cylinder coupled between the chassis mount and the axle assembly. The hydraulic cylinder actuates the axle assembly between a raised position and a lowered position and acts as a spring damper suspension component.

A vehicle includes a frame, first and second mounting brackets, and a suspension system. The frame includes a first member and a second member. Each of the first and second member have an opening. A bracket is disposed proximal each of the first and second member. The suspension system includes first and second swing arms coupled to the first and second members, and a bar extending through the first and second openings that is rotatably coupled to the first and second mounting brackets with a first bushing and a second bushing. The ends of the bar extend outward of the first and second frame members. The ends are coupled to bending portions that extend from the ends towards the first and second swing arms, which are further coupled to links that connect the bending portions to the swing arms.
