Modular vehicle seats having water-permeable seating surfaces are disclosed. A disclosed vehicle seat includes a seat portion configured to hold a seated person. The seat portion includes a substantially unitary molded frame defining a first opening and a cavity associated with the first opening. The seat portion further includes a first substantially non-absorbent, water-permeable membrane configured to cover at least a portion of the first opening to provide support to the seated person. The substantially unitary molded frame comprises at least a second opening configured to enable water passing through the first substantially non-absorbent, water-permeable membrane and into the cavity to be discharged from the cavity. The disclosed seat further includes a back portion coupled to the seat portion. The back portion includes a peripheral frame member defining a third opening at least a portion of which is covered with a second substantially non-absorbent, water-permeable membrane.

A swivel mechanism for a vehicle seat includes a base plate configured to be fixed relative to the vehicle and to provide support to the vehicle seat. The vehicle seat is mounted to a seat mounting plate having a first side configured to receive the vehicle seat and a second side opposite the first side, mechanically coupled to the base plate. The seat mounting plate and the base plate are mechanically coupled so that when the seat mounting plate is rotated about an axis of the base plate the seat mounting plate translates in a plane that is substantially perpendicular to the axis of the base plate. A locking recess is formed in one of the base plate or the seat mounting plate, and is adapted to receive a locking pawl pivotably mounted to the opposite one of the base plate or the seat mounting plate. The locking recess is biased toward the locking recess such that when the locking pawl and locking recess are engaged, the seat mounting plate is inhibited from movement relative to the base plate.

Eccentric swivel mechanism for a vehicle seat

A seat for marine use including a hollow primary seat structure. The primary seat structure has a generally upright back portion and a seat portion formed integrally with the back portion and extending forwardly therefrom. The back portion includes at least a pair of first female connector structures, and the seat portion includes at least a pair of second female connector structures. The seat further includes a pair of armrests having integral hook-shaped connectors at first ends thereof. The hook-shaped connectors are received in the first female connectors of the primary seat structure. The armrests also include integral male connectors at second ends that are received in the second female connector structures of the primary seat structure.

A keyboard support platform including a keyboard support member adapted to support a keyboard and having a front edge adapted to be positioned adjacent a user. The keyboard support member includes first and second opposite side edges defining a width therebetween. A first mouse support surface is movably mounted to the keyboard member and movably positioned adjacent the first side edge to provide adjustment of the first mouse support surface. A second mouse support surface is movably mounted to the keyboard support member and movably positioned adjacent the second side edge of the keyboard support member to provide adjustment of the second mouse support surface. A palm rest is adjustably mounted to the keyboard support member adjacent the front edge and repositionable between a first position wherein at least a portion of the palm rest extends in front of the first mouse support surface, and a second position wherein at least a portion of the palm rest extends in front of the second mouse support surface. The palm rest has a length substantially greater than the width of the keyboard support member such that a portion of the palm rest extends in front of the keyboard support member and at least a selected one of the first and second supports.

A cable management spool for storing a length of cable includes first and second rigid outer members that are movable relative to each other and define a gap of variable size therebetween. An intermediate member has at least one flexible flap, and the intermediate member is disposed between the first and second rigid outer members. The spool includes a spooling portion between the first and second outer members, wherein the spooling portion is adapted to have a length of cable wound about the spooling portion. The intermediate member is movable relative to at least one of the first and second rigid outer members, and the at least one flap substantially occupies the gap and is adapted to substantially conceal the length of cable.

A two-piece folding outdoor seat for recreational boats and the like includes a hollow molded seat member and a hollow molded back member. The seat member has an upper surface shaped to abuttingly support a seated user thereon, and a raised rearward portion elevated above the upper surface and shaped to abut the lower back area of the seated user for improved comfort. The raised rearward portion of the seat member includes a plurality of integrally formed hinge fingers extending along an upper portion thereof. The back member has a plurality of integrally formed hinge fingers extending along a lower portion thereof. The hinge fingers on the raised rearward portion of the seat member and the back member are meshed with one another and pivotally interconnected to define a horizontally oriented hinge therealong which permits the back member to be shifted between a lowered storage position and a raised use position.
