An electrical outlet may be stored (e.g., stocked at a manufacturer and/or a warehouse) in a bulk form and may be constructed to have a desired color, finish, and/or material prior to shipment to a customer. The outlet may comprise a rear bezel portion having a front surface with openings configured to receive blades of a plug of an electrical device for electrically connecting the electrical device to a power source and a front bezel portion configured to be mounted over the rear bezel portion. The rear bezel portion may have openings aligned with the respective openings of the rear bezel portion for receiving the blades of the plug. In addition, the electrical outlet may have a temporary bezel when stocked at the manufacturer and/or the warehouse. The temporary bezel may be removed from the outlet and a permanent bezel may be installed on the outlet prior to shipment.

Colorization of an electrical outlet

A control device includes a button assembly having one or more buttons and a button carrier that includes a plurality of resilient, independently deflectable spring arms. The control device may be configured as a wall-mounted keypad to control a load control device, or as a thermostat to control a temperature regulation appliance. The button carrier may be configured to prevent interference between the buttons during operation of the control device. The button assembly may be captured between a faceplate of the control device and a housing that is attached to a rear side of the faceplate. The control device may include one or more button retainers that are attached to the buttons and that are configured to align respective outer surfaces of the buttons relative to each other, and relative to the faceplate of the control device, when the buttons are in respective rest positions.

Control devices having independently suspended buttons for controlled actuation

A two-wire load control device such as a dimmer switch for controlling the amount of power delivered from an AC power source to an electrical load such as a high-efficiency lighting load may be provided. The load control device may include a bidirectional semiconductor switch coupled between the source and the load and a controller operable to control the bidirectional semiconductor switch. The load control device may also include a front accessible trimming actuator to adjust a low end intensity setting of the load control device. The trimming actuator may be coupled to the controller such that the controller may control the bidirectional semiconductor switch appropriately. Additionally, the trimming actuator may include indicia to help a user readily identify the proper low end intensity setting.
