Aspects of the present disclosure include sample analysis methods and systems. According to certain embodiments, provided are methods of analyzing samples in an automated sample analysis system. The methods include introducing samples and sample preparation cartridges into the system, isolating and purifying an analyte (e.g., nucleic acids and/or proteins) present in the samples at a sample preparation station, and performing analyte detection assays in assay mixtures that include the purified analyte. Also provided are automated sample analysis systems that find use, e.g., in performing the methods of the present disclosure. In certain aspects, the methods and systems provide for continuous operator access during replenishment or removal of one or any combination of samples, bulk fluids, reagents, commodities, waste, and/or the like.

Systems and methods for automated analysis

Magnetic beads having cell components of interest are translated between a sequence of processing wells in a tray without need for pipetting. The circular tray contains one or more sequences of wells each interconnected by a respective channel. The tray is rotated about a central axis and a magnet, an agitator, and a heater provided external to the tray enable magnetic bead translation, mixing, and incubation, respectively. The magnet proximate a well forms a cluster of beads. Manipulation of the tray in rotation and elevation results in translation of the cluster from one well, through a channel, and into an adjacent well. The well containing a cluster may be rotationally positioned in front of the agitator, the agitator extended into contact with the well, followed by mechanical agitation. The heater, disposed beneath the tray, may accept a well lowered thereto for selective heating.

A method of stimulating a formation containing two or more wellbores includes simultaneously stimulating a first region of each wellbore using a stimulation fluid so as to create a primary fracture in the first region of each wellbore, wherein the first region comprises a first opening or openings allowing fluid communication between each wellbore and the formation, wherein the first region has a first stimulated lateral length and wherein the flow rate of the stimulation fluid through the first opening or openings is greater than 1 barrel per minute per foot of the first stimulated lateral length.

Reservoir stimulation method and system

Aspects of the present disclosure include systems that include reaction vessels and reaction vessel caps. In certain aspects, the reaction vessels include a reaction chamber and a groove disposed around a top opening of a reaction chamber. The system also includes a RV cap that includes a cap body, a RV plug, and a lower wall that includes an outer radial groove disposed above an outward projecting ridge of the lower wall. When the cap is inserted into the RV, the RV plug of the RV cap is sealingly inserted into the reaction chamber of the RV, a ridge of the RV mates with the outer radial groove of the RV cap, and an outward projecting ridge of the RV cap mates with the radial groove of the RV. Also provided are methods and sample analysis systems, which may employ the RV/RV cap systems of the present disclosure.

A reservoir stimulation tool for stimulating a formation surrounding a wellbore having an inner wall includes: a tubular string including an outer wall defining therein an inner bore, the tubular string being configured to be inserted into the wellbore so as to form an annular space between the tubular string and the inner wall of the wellbore, a plurality of ports formed in the outer wall of the tubular string; a plurality of port valves for opening or closing the ports; and a plurality of packers coupled to the tubular string, wherein each packer is configured to be expanded in order to engage the inner wall of the wellbore, thereby isolating two or more longitudinal segments of the annular space from each other.

Reservoir stimulation method and apparatus

Systems and methods that use far-field diverting agents and proppant pulsing to enhance fracture geometries in far field areas of a subterranean formation are provided. In one embodiment, the methods comprise: introducing into a well bore penetrating a portion of a subterranean formation alternating stages of a proppant-carrying fracturing fluid comprising a plurality of proppant particulates, and a clean fracturing fluid comprising a lesser concentration of proppant particulates than the proppant-carrying fracturing fluid, wherein the alternating stages of the proppant-carrying fracturing fluid and the clean fracturing fluid are introduced into the well bore at or above a pressure sufficient to create or enhance one or more fractures in the subterranean formation; and introducing a diverting agent into the well bore during one or more of the alternating stages of proppant-carrying fracturing fluid and clean fracturing fluid.

Far-field diversion with pulsed proppant in subterranean fracturing operations

Improved methods and systems for treating subterranean formations using a sub-surface mixing system are disclosed. The disclosed system includes a well head and a first flow line that directs a blender fluid from a blender to the well head. A second flow line directs a Liquefied Petroleum Gas stream to the well head. A static mixer is positioned downhole and is fluidically coupled to the well head. The well head directs the blender fluid to the static mixer through a first flow path and it directs the Liquefied Petroleum Gas stream from the well head to the static mixer through a second flow path. The static mixer then mixes the blender fluid and the Liquefied Petroleum Gas stream.

Methods and systems for treatment of subterranean formations

A method of servicing a wellbore in a subterranean formation comprising placing in the wellbore and/or subterranean formation a pad fluid and forming a fracture in the subterranean formation. Next, a first slurry fluid may be placed into the fracture in the subterranean formation. The first slurry fluid may comprise a reducible material and a first particulate material. Next, a second slurry fluid and a spacer fluid may be placed into the fracture in the subterranean formation in an alternating sequence. The second slurry fluid may comprise a second particulate material. Then, the fracture is allowed to close and the fluids are allowed to break. Finally, the reducible materials degrade, to form a particulate-laden proppant pack (PLPP).

Fracturing treatments in subterranean formations using reducible materials

Methods for oil and/or gas production may employ mixed surfactants to treat a subterranean formation. The methods can comprise: providing a treatment fluid comprising: an aqueous base fluid, a first surfactant having a charge, a second surfactant having an opposite charge, and a compatibilizer; and introducing the treatment fluid into at least a portion of the subterranean formation.

Treatment fluids for wetting control of multiple rock types and associated methods

Improved treatment fluids and methods for use in subterranean operations including the treatment of low permeability shale formations. In one embodiment the methods comprise: providing a treatment fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid and a controlled wetting system that comprises: a water soluble polymer having a charge, a surfactant having an opposite charge, and a compatibilizer; and introducing the treatment fluid into a subterranean formation.

Composition and method relating to the prevention and remediation of surfactant gel damage

Among many things, compositions and methods relating to the prevention and remediation of surfactant gel damage are provided. In one embodiment, the method includes providing a treatment fluid comprising a carrier fluid and at least one component selected from the group consisting of a chelating agent and a scale control agent, and introducing the treatment fluid into a subterranean formation that has been treated with a viscoelastic surfactant fluid.
