A scoring system is disclosed for a shuffleboard tablehaving a sliding surfaceon which a puckcan be thrown. A camerais arranged to point in a directionthat is angled relative to the normalof the sliding surface. A puckcan be thrown and a computercan detect a moving object within a throwing zone. The computeranalyses whether the detected moving object corresponds to a valid puck. When all pucks are stationary on the sliding surfacethe computercan calculate a score.

Shuffleboard scoring system

A method is disclosed for automatically scoring a game of darts. The method involves obtaining an image of a dartboard () using three cameras (), detecting a visual disturbance in the image, and identifying a validly thrown dart if the visual disturbance includes a moving phase with a maximum temporal duration and successive images of the dartboard which exhibit differences. The visual disturbance should also include a stationary phase when the dart has been embedded in the dartboard (). The method also includes calculating a score for the validly thrown dart based on its stationary position relative to the dartboard. A lighting system for a dartboard is also disclosed where a LED strip light () is provided around a circumference of the dartboard and three spotlights () are provided above the dartboard.

Automatic dartboard scoring system

A vision recognition system is provided for use with a high speed, automatic produce labeling machine. The system uses laser profiling to direct a sheet of light transversely to the longitudinal axis of a produce feed conveyor. The sheet of light periodically impacts, and generates laser profiles of, the surfaces of the produce items, such as pears, being fed by the conveyor to one or more labeling machines. The laser profiles are used to generate real world (x,y) coordinates of the domes of the incoming produce items, which are passed to the labeling machine or machines. Real world height (or z) coordinates may also be created and passed to the labeler.
