A tieback connector for attaching a riser to a subsea production assembly is provided. The tieback connector includes a main body adapted to be coupled to the subsea production assembly having a central passageway sufficiently large to pass an end of the riser string therein and a connector positioner coupled to the main body, which is adapted to secure the tieback connector around a circumferential surface of a wellhead of the subsea production assembly. The tieback connector further comprises an aligning extension portion defined by a funnel-shaped tip, which aids alignment of the riser terminus during landing of the riser string onto the wellhead. The tieback connector secures the riser to the wellhead.

Tieback connector

A tubular connection is provided for connecting an upper tubular member with a lower tubular member . A radially movable latch body is positioned outward of the tubular members. Outer load flanks on the latch body are slidably engageable with inner load flanks on the tubular members. A radially projecting member and a corresponding guide recess are provided for guiding the latch body with respect to one of the tubular members. A safety actuator and corresponding mating surface may also be provided for urging the latch body outward.

Riser connector

The ball valve assembly includes a valve body , a ball , a seat ring , a support ring , and an actuator sleeve surrounding the ball and axially moveable within the valve body for rotating the ball between the open position and the closed position. A plurality of seals seal with the seat ring, the actuator sleeve, the support ring, and the valve body. The actuator sleeve maintains fluid pressure within the valve body. The ball, support ring and seat ring are each formed from a selective material to enhance life of the ball valve assembly. A pair of pins each extend in a slot within the ball and holes in the sleeve, and preferably the pair of pins and the ball rotate with respect to the sleeve as the sleeve moves axially within the valve body.

Ball valve assembly

An underwater cable deployment system includes a series of cables, pre-wound on a set of reels, disposed upon a pallet and connected to a distribution hub on the pallet. The pallet is lowered to the ocean floor and a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) is also lowered to the ocean floor to deploy cables to form a predetermined array on the ocean floor. Preferably, the pallet is delivered to the ocean floor in advance by crane with the reel-mounted sensor array cables being deployed later by ROV. Optionally, the ROV may include a jetting package configured to bury the sensor cable as it is being deployed from the reel on the ROV.

Underwater cable deployment system and method

A system for supplying pigs to a subsea pig launcher using a system carried and controlled by a remotely operated vehicle. The pigs are carried in racks that hold multiple pigs. The racks are extended and the pigs are allowed to drop into the barrel of the subsea pig launcher. The system is also equipped with a system that retracts the racks if hydraulic and electrical power is lost during the reloading process so that the remotely operated vehicle can be retrieved to the surface safely. The reloading process can be carried out by a remotely operated vehicle support vessel without the need for heavy lifting equipment or a large deck area.
