An improved stopcock valve, including a valve body, the valve body having at least one inlet port and at least one outlet port, the valve body having an internal cavity in communication with the at least one inlet port and the at least one outlet port and, a rotatable interference body having a through-bore therein, the rotatable body having an external surface, the through-bore having a first opening to the surface and a second opening to the surface, the interference body positioned within the internal cavity of the valve body, the external surface including a first tapered groove in communication with the first opening and a second tapered groove in communication with the second opening, the grooves arranged to be in communication with the at least one inlet port and the at least one outlet port upon rotation of the body.

Suture fastener

A mechanical suture fastener includes a crimpable sleeve defining a channel therein. The crimpable sleeve also has a sleeve length, a channel diameter, and a sleeve length to channel diameter ratio of at least 4.0. The mechanical suture fastener also includes a flange joined to the crimpable sleeve on a distal end of the sleeve. The flange further includes a distal opening which is in communication with a proximal opening defined by the crimpable sleeve. The mechanical suture fastener also includes an inner flange radius of at least 0.007 inches.

A rotation adapter for a minimally invasive surgical apparatus is disclosed. The rotation adapter has a proximal journal and a distal journal. The rotation adapter also has a rotation index coupled between the proximal and distal journals. The rotation adapter further has an actuator input wherein the actuator input comprises a keyed slot and an effector output.

A rotation adapter for a minimally invasive surgical apparatus is disclosed. The rotation adapter has a proximal journal and a distal journal. The rotation adapter also has a rotation index coupled between the proximal and distal journals. The rotation adapter further has an actuator input and an effector output. A rotation adapter receiver for a minimally invasive surgical apparatus is also disclosed. The rotation adapter receiver has opposing beams and a proximal bushing coupled between the opposing beams. The rotation adapter receiver also has a distal bushing coupled between the opposing beams. The rotation adapter receiver further has a rotation constraint coupled between the opposing beams and positioned between the proximal and distal bushings.

A probe deployment mechanism of a coordinate measuring machine provides for extending and retracting a probe. The probe is displaceable with respect to the actuator body connected to the measuring machine. A locator coupling secures the probe to the actuator body at the extended position for taking measurements. A drive coupled to the probe displaces the probe between the extended and retracted positions but at the extended position, the drive is releasable from the probe for kinetically isolating the locator coupling.
