Electrical gas lift valves and assemblies

An apparatus includes a connector to connect a first tubing section and a second tubing section together. The connector that includes a body that includes a first opening to receive the first tubing section, a second opening to receive the second tubing section, and a passageway. The apparatus includes a member that is adapted to be moved from a retracted position to an extended position to form a sealed connection between a tubular member that is connected to the first tubing section and the passageway.

Joining tubular members

A downhole service tool is provided that may include a body having an interior passageway, at least one exit port through which fluid may flow from the interior passageway to an exterior of the tool, and at least one diverting channel adapted to cause fluid exiting the exit port to flow in a predetermined pattern, such as a helical or rotational flow path. The diverting channel may be in the form of a trough, and may also have a tapering width from its upper end to its lower end, where it meets the exterior of the tool. The diverting channel may also have a helical or other predetermined shape so as to facilitate the inducement of the desired flow pattern. By designing the tool so as to create a desired flow pattern, erosion of the tool by the exiting fluid flow is lessened. Related methods are also provided.

Service tool with flow diverter and associated method

A packer that is usable with a subterranean well includes an assembly to circumscribe one out of multiple tubular arrays that are inserted through the packer. The packer also includes a member that is separable from the assembly to configure the assembly for connection to the tubular array. The member includes a first seal between the member and the tubular array and a second seal that is located between the member and the shell. The first seal is separate from the second seal. The assembly includes a slip to engage a casing of the well and a sealing element to seal an annulus of the well.
