The problem of 3D panel display systems either (a) requiring special glasses to separate left and right viewing images, or (b) having auto-stereoscopic 3D with compromised fidelity, is solved by providing a projection three dimensional (3D) display system for providing glass-free, 3D display to a plurality of viewing volumetric pairs (VVAs) in space corresponding to a hypothetical plurality of viewers' eye aperture pairs, the projection 3D display system comprising: (a) a dual-image projector configured to project both a left viewing tri-color image and a right viewing tri-color image; and (b) means for (1) receiving a tri-color mixed input beam encompassing the left and right viewing tri-color images, (2) multiplying the tri-color mixed input beam into a plurality of tri-color mixed output beams, and (3) focusing the plurality of tri-color mixed beams for viewing at the VVAs.

Architecture that comprises features that enable smart searches along a route based on time to entities along the route and off the route, a user experience (UX) that showcases rich entities along the route, saving, sharing and editing capabilities across devices and users, smart ranking and filtering of entities, and user preferences and digital personal assistant interaction. After an itinerary is built, the itinerary can be saved for future use and/or shared with friends and/or other devices. Users can change the itinerary on-the-go by searching and adding entities, at a later time, for example. A digital personal audio assistant can be utilized to provide guidance based on the itinerary, and ask users if they want to take a particular exit to visit some desired location (e.g., place of interest).

Techniques for generating and superimposing digital signage onto an immersive view. In an exemplary embodiment, certain entities are occluded or otherwise unviewable in an immersive view of an environment. For such entities, digital signage may be generated and superimposed in a suitable area of the immersive view, and further indicating, e.g., directions to such entities from a viewing location, as well as other metadata, such as business name, website, etc. To determine whether a nearby entity is displayed in the immersive view, a planar layout storing geometrical data associated with entities in the vicinity may be loaded and processed.

In one example embodiment, a system and method is provided that includes establishing a plurality of Pseudo Wire (PW) connections between a first network appliance region and a second network appliance region to transmit data from the first network appliance region to the second network appliance region along an active PW. Further, the method includes disabling the active PW when a failure of the active PW is detected. Additionally, the method may include selecting an inactive PW to become a new active PW such that the data may be transmitted from the first network appliance region to the second network appliance region. Moreover, the method includes switching from the active PW to the new active PW.

An optic disk opener includes an elongate stem having an end defining an interior space receiving a spring-biased sharp member that is extendible out of the space by being manually driven, against the biasing force, to physically engaging an optic disk pack that is wrapped with a plastic film, whereby when the opener is moved along an edge of the optic disk pack, the sharp blade breaks the film. Two spaced flanges are formed on the first end to receive the edge of the optic disk pack and guide the movement of the opener. An elongate member is pivoted to the first end and movable between an operation position where a soft layer attached to a surface of the elongate member is exposed to wipe and clean an optic disk and a stowed position where the elongate member overlaps the stem to shield the soft layer.

In an upright CT scanner, an X-ray source and a two-dimensional digital X-ray detector are mounted on a rotating platform with a vertical axis of rotation. During scanning, the X-ray source and the detector are on opposite sides of the rotational axis for orbiting about a body to thereby scan it with pyramid-shaped X-ray beam. During scanning, the source and detector can be jointly translated along a horizontal axis that is perpendicular to the rotation axis and parallel to the detector surface, to scan a specific part of a body that is not centered or a body that is too large. The mounting height and distance of source and the detector can also be adjusted.

A multi-function clamp has a base plate, a connecting seat connected to the base plate, a pressing seat integrally formed with the connecting seat, an outer cover pivotally connected to the base plate and a rear clip securely engaged with the base plate. Multiple soft pads are securely sandwiched between the base plate and the outer cover to function as shock absorber. Spacers are formed on a rear face of the base plate to keep a distance to the rear clip. Hemispheres are formed on the rear clip to engage with the rear face of the base plate to clamp an object with the rear face of the base plate.

A method and an integrated circuit package support a high-speed integrated circuit operating at 10 GHz or higher switching speeds. The packaged integrated circuit has external terminals, a semiconductor die having conventional bonding pads, a substrate (e.g., printed circuit board) having conductive traces to couple input, output or bi-directional signals between bonding finger areas of the conductive traces and the external terminals. A ground plate that is electrically isolated from a conductive trace is positioned in the vicinity of the bonding finger area of the conductive trace. Bond wires connect the bonding pads of the electronic circuit and the bonding finger areas of the conductive traces. The ground plate improves integrity in a high-speed signal by canceling the complex impedance of a bond wire. In addition, the packaged integrated circuit can use multiple bond wires to connect the same bonding finger area of a conductive trace on the substrate and a corresponding bonding pad of the electronic circuit. The multiple bond wire approach reduces inductance in the bond wires.

Matched impedance bonding technique in high-speed integrated circuits

A CMOS voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) having an improved voltage-to-current converter and an active MOS load operating in the triode region to provide improved performance characteristics including a small differential logic swing and a high frequency output. The voltage-to-current converter of the CMOS VCO comprises a pair of MOS transistors, one of which has an aspect ratio (W.sub.P /L.sub.P) and the other of which has an aspect ratio (W.sub.P /L.sub.P)/n, wherein 1&lt;n&lt;4. This configuration causes a third MOS transistor in the voltage-to-current converter to operate exclusively in the triode region. The CMOS VCO also includes an ICO portion having a plurality of delay stages connected in a ring configuration. Each of the delay stages comprises a pair of input MOS transistors and a pair of load MOS transistors. In accordance with the invention, the voltage-to-current converter causes each of the load MOS transistors to operate in the triode region.
