Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example: obtaining for each of a plurality of subscribers to a wireless service that uses a licensed radio spectrum a respective user profile; determining based upon a particular user profile of a particular subscriber that the particular subscriber has access to a Citizen Band Radio Spectrum (CBRS), resulting in a determination; responsive to the determination being that the particular subscriber has access to the CBRS, generating an instruction to a user device of the particular subscriber to utilize the CBRS; and transmitting the instruction to the user device of the particular subscriber. Network-based systems and methods to selectively enable and disable citizen band radio spectrum (CBRS) radio for individual users

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting, by a wireless communication device, a transmission, by a radio access network node, of an alert message, identifying contents of the alert message, determining that the wireless communication device is authorized to relay the contents of the alert message, generating alert information comprising the contents of the alert message, and transmitting a ProSe direct discovery message comprising the alert information. Disseminating alerts or other notifications using ProSe direct discovery signaling

A system information block (SIB) in a radio interface is dedicated to broadcast data intended for Internet of things (IoT) devices. The data can be associated with most any IoT service, such as but not limited to, a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and/or vehicle-to-everything (V2X) service. In one aspect, data, associated with an event, that has been aggregated from one or more IoT devices located within a region can be analyzed to determine a geographical area where a message regarding the event (e.g., accident) is to be broadcast. Further, the message can be dynamically prioritized and/or customized to target a particular class of IoT devices (e.g., connected cars) by employing different message identifiers.

Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for registering a subscriber to a communications network. One method receives a registration request to access a first communications network. The registration request is routed to a second communications network based upon an international mobile subscriber identity number associated with the subscriber. The international mobile subscriber identity number allows the subscriber to register with the second communications network.

Registration of communications devices

Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for delivering a message to a communications device. One method migrates a subscriber's communications device to a Global System for Mobile communications network. The subscriber's communications device is migrated from a Time Division Multiple Access communications network or a Code Division Multiple Access communications network. An origination request is received from the communications device, and the origination request is for sending the message from the communications device. The origination request includes a network address. The network address is associated to a signaling point code, and the signaling point code identifies a message service center in the Global System for Mobile communications network. The origination request is routed to the message service center in the Global System for Mobile communications network, wherein the origination request is processed by the message service center.
