An encapsulated delta transformer for medium to high voltages includes a hermetically sealed housing that encloses a volume, a delta shaped transformer arranged in the housing, and a passageway for a fluid. The passageway protruding through the housing and the volume enclosed by the passageway is in fluidal connection to an outside of the housing.

The disclosure is related to a dry transformer, which includes a transformer core with at least two parallel limbs and upper and lower yokes, and at least two hollow cylindrical coils, each arranged as neighbored coils around a limb of the at least two parallel limbs. A cooling system can include at least one wall-like diaphragm in-between the neighbored coils, which is in parallel to the orientation of the limbs.

Cooling system for dry transformers

A wound transformer core is provided with at least one core loop made of a magnetic material. The transformer core includes multiple thin amorphous band-like iron sheets which are concentrically stacked around at least one center axis. A lower yoke section, an upper yoke section, and at least two limb sections are formed. The transformer core includes a modular plate-like support structure which is affixed upright to the center axis on both face sides of the lower yoke section and on both face sides of each limb section such that neighbored iron sheets are affixed together at their outer edge. The modular plate-like support structure includes, for each face side of the corresponding core sections, at least two plate-like modules, which are each connected to each other by a first or second plug-in connection.

A circuit breaker is provided which can be filled with a quenching gas and which has two contact arrangements, which can be moved relative to one another and along a longitudinal axis of the circuit breaker. The contact arrangements form a arcing contact system and a rated current contact system connected electrically in parallel with it. One of the contact arrangements includes inner rated current contacts and outer rated current contacts of the rated current contact system, where the inner rated current contacts overhang the outer rated current contacts in the direction of the longitudinal axis, and the outer rated current contacts coaxially surround the inner rated current contacts. The circuit breaker has a high current carrying capability as well as a reliable switching-on and -off behavior, such as during and after the occurrence of a short-circuit current in the circuit breaker.

A coil and electric shielding arrangement for a dry-type transformer includes an electric shielding device arranged at a distance from a winding, at an axial end of the winding perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the transformer, and parallel to a top surface of a coil that is wound around the axis such that the electric shielding device covers a cross-sectional area of the winding perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. An insulation material attached to the winding and to the electric shielding device establishes a first distance between the winding and the electric shielding device along the longitudinal axis such that the winding is shielded against another electric field. The winding and the electric shielding device are casted in a block which insulates the electric shielding device from the electric field of the winding by establishing a second distance between the winding and the electric shielding device.

An electrical transformer is disclosed which includes an enclosure; a magnetic core assembly arranged within the enclosure, the magnetic core assembly having a first core limb, a second core limb and a third core limb; and three coil assemblies having a first coil assembly, a second coil assembly, and a third coil assembly. At least two diaphragms are arranged within the enclosure, the diaphragms being essentially sealed to a first outermost coil of the first coil assembly, and arranged for guiding a cooling fluid in series through a first inner fluid duct, a second inner fluid duct, a third inner fluid duct and an extra-coil volume along outsides of third, second and first outermost coil coils of the third, second and first coil assemblies.
