A method for establishing a duplex connection for data transmission between transmission units in a communications system, wherein the transmission units each have a transmit unit and a receive unit, where the duplex connection includes oppositely directed, unidirectional transmission channels, by which a communications link for each data transmission between respective transmit and receive units of the transmission units is established, during a synchronization phase transmit units independently emit in a periodically repeated manner a first synchronization signal respectively, where following detection and synchronization with the respective first synchronization signal by the respective receive unit, the respective transmit unit belonging to the same transmission unit is instructed to emit at least once a second synchronization signal respectively, where a changeover to data transmission is implemented once the second synchronization signal respectively has been detected at least once by respective receive units of the transmission units.

A method for achieving synchronization between a transmit unit and at least one receive unit of a communications system with multi-carrier signal transmission via a transmit channel includes generating a synchronization symbol using predefined carrier frequencies, modulating the generated synchronization symbol with a predefined synchronization sequence via a transmitter to generate a synchronization signal, emitting the generated synchronization signal by the transmitter with a predefinable repetition period, the synchronization signal being utilized for transmission of an item of transmit-specific status information, receiving a signal by a receiver following transmission via the transmit channel, the received signal being formed by the emitted generated synchronization signal and transmitted repeatedly with the predefinable repetition period, and detecting and evaluating, by the receiver, the received signal via a detection algorithm, the detection algorithm determining a period of the received signal as the synchronization instant at which the synchronization signal is almost certainly present.

Method for achieving synchronization of transmit and receive units with multi-carrier signal transmission

A method monitors an energy transmission device, in particular an energy transmission line or an energy distribution network, via which electric current is transmitted at a predefined network frequency. An electrical measurement signal having at least one non-network frequency, i.e. a frequency which differs from the network frequency, or a non-network frequency band, is fed into the energy transmission device at a predefined position thereon. An electrical measured quantity related to the non-network frequency or the non-network frequency band is measured at the predefined position or a different position on the energy transmission device with the formation of at least one measured value or frequency-band-related measured value characteristic. A fault signal is generated if the measured value, the frequency-band-related measured value characteristic, a comparative value or comparative value characteristic formed with the measured value or the measured value characteristic indicates a fault in the energy transmission device.

Method and device for monitoring an energy transmission device

A method for determining a topology information item on a low-voltage electrical distribution system. A group of at least two current measuring devices that are arranged at different points in the low-voltage distribution system is selected, and in each case the current is measured by the current measuring devices so as to form a current measurement value. The current measurement values are added so as to form a current sum taking into consideration the current flow direction. A topology information item is formed which specifies that the current measuring devices electrically isolate a load-free and source-free section of the low-voltage distribution system when the current sum, in terms of absolute value, falls below a predetermined threshold value.

Low-voltage distribution system and method for operating the same

A method for assigning individual phase conductors at a first point to those at at least one further point in a polyphase energy distribution network, in particular in a three-phase network. In the case of mains operation, wherein a common reference time is determined for these points, and the time difference and/or phase difference of the phase voltage or the line-to-line voltage between the reference time of a zero crossing of the phase voltage are determined for these points. By a comparison of the time and/or phase differences at two different points the phase conductor of one point is assigned to a phase conductor of the further point which has the same to time and/or phase difference with respect to the common reference time. An additional loading of the energy supply network or an interruption of the mains operation is avoided by the method.
