A wellsite servicing system includes a first flange, a second flange configured to engage a flange of a tubular, and a spindle that is pivotable between the first and second flanges such that a central axis of the second flange remains in axial alignment with a central axis of the tubular when the central axis of the tubular is axially misaligned with a central axis of the first flange.

The end portion of the pipe stabilizer may be moved by an adjustment mechanism relative to another portion of the stabilizer or a drill string at well center for fine tuning placement of the pipe.

An internal pipe gripping tool includes a tool body adapted for insertion into a pipe. A gripper is disposed adjacent and movably coupled to the tool body. The gripper has an engaged position and a released position relative to the tool body. A lever has a first end node, a second end node, and an intermediate node between the first and second end nodes. The first end node is coupled to the tool body, and the intermediate node is coupled to the gripper. A force applied to the second end node results in another force at the intermediate node that shifts the gripper from the engaged position to the released position.

A pipe handling system includes a frame removably coupled to a drilling mast, a gripping arm moveably coupled to the frame, and a grip jaw extending from the gripping arm to engage a drill pipe, wherein the gripping arm and the grip jaw are operable to move a drill pipe from within the drilling mast to a pipe storage area adjacent the drilling mast. Other embodiments include a pipe racker and a setback handling system disposed below the pipe racker to engage a lower end of the drill pipe, the setback handling system including a moveable pipe guide and a rotating table supporting the pipe guide. Pipe connection system

This application relates to a pipe storage and handling system having a stationary frame, a tilting frame moveably coupled to the stationary frame, a pipe rack moveably coupled to the tilting frame and an arm. The pipe rack includes a storage end configured to support a plurality of pipes. The tilting frame includes a loading end and is moveable between a loading position where the loading end is positioned at a higher elevation than the storage end and an unloading position wherein the storage end is positioned at a higher elevation than the loading end. The system includes an arm to engage a single pipe and move the single pipe onto or off of the tilting frame. The pipe rack may move the pipes vertically relative to the tilting frame. The pipe rack may support a cartridge for retaining the pipes. The system may include a pipe erector.

Horizontal pipe storage and handling system

A pipe handling system includes a lifting mechanism coupled to an upper end of a pipe above a free end of the pipe, and a guide system operable to engage the pipe and control lateral movement of the pipe as it is moved between a storage position and a well center position, the guide system including a pair of support members including extendable end portions and a flexible pipe guide coupled between the extendable end portions. In some embodiments, the guide system includes a pair of rotatable support arms having first pivot ends and second ends and an expandable pipe guide connecting the second ends.

Methods and apparatus for applying a uniform application of an appropriate quantity of lubricant to the internal threads of a pipe. In general, the apparatus includes a high pressure supply of lubricant and a high speed, rotating centrifugal applicator for evenly applying the lubricant to internal threads. The system also includes a dosing system to regulate the distribution of lubricant by dispensing a consistent volume of lubricant at each application. Potential advantages of the embodiments include the repeatability and consistency of amount of lubricant on pipe threads (e.g. thickness).

Centrifugal applicator system

An apparatus to be used in a gripping assembly for gripping a cylindrical member is disclosed. The apparatus includes a jaw body, a gripping insert, and a rotatable camming member disposed between the jaw body and gripping insert. The rotatable camming member rotates in response to the applied clamping and rotational forces of the gripping assembly and operates to intensify the force provided by the jaw to the gripping insert which is engaged with a cylindrical member.

A pipe handling system comprises a pipe rack moveably coupled to a stationary frame. The pipe rack is configured to support a plurality of pipes between a loading end and a storage end. The pipe rack is moveable between a loading position where the loading end is positioned at a higher elevation than the storage end and an unloading position wherein the storage end is positioned at a higher elevation than the loading end. An arm is rotatably coupled to the loading end of the rack and is configured to engage a single pipe and move the single pipe onto or off of the pipe rack.
