A mold assembly () for injection molding of a plastic pipe fitting (). The pipe fitting comprises an elbow-shaped or a tee-shaped internal flow channel (). At least one of the first core member () and the second core member () of the core package () comprises a built-in cooling arrangement () for cooling of the core package (), the cooling arrangement () extending longitudinally inside said core member over a substantial length of said core member. The pipe fitting () comprises an elbow-shaped or tee-shaped internal flow channel () comprising at least two channel parts () arranged at a first angle (&#x3b1;) in relation to each other, the channel parts () each having a circular cross-section and a smoothly radiused inner corner face () between each two channel parts being at said first angle in relation to each other, the at least one of the channel parts having an inner diameter D, a length L from central corner point to the end of the channel part, the inner corner face having a rounding radius R. The ratio (D/R) of the inner diameter D and the rounding radius R is in the range 2 to 5, and the ratio (L/D) of the length L and inner diameter D is in the range 8 to 3.

An elongated pre-insulated pipe assembly for fluid transfer, the pipe assembly having a longitudinal center axis (x) and comprising: a center insulator profile made of thermally insulating foamed plastics, the center insulator profile having a circular cross-section and being concentric in relation to the center axis (x), the center insulator profile comprising at least two longitudinally extending channels formed inside an periphery of the center insulator profile and each channel being adapted to receive one flow pipe, at least two flow pipes made of plastics, each one of the flow pipes being inserted inside the channel of the center insulator profile, at least one insulation layer made of thermally insulating foamed plastics arranged to enclose the center insulator profile, and an outer jacket made of plastics to enclose the at least one insulation layer. At least one channel of the center insulator profile and the flow pipe inserted in said channel are disposed inside the center insulator profile at a distance from the outer periphery of the center insulator profile and closer to the center axis (x) than other channels and the flow pipe arranged in said other channel.

Elongated pre-insulated pipe assembly and a local heat distribution system

A pipe connection comprises a connecting piece, a pipe and a clamping ring. The pipe and the clamping ring are made of a material having memory properties. An end of the pipe and the clamping ring have been reversibly expanded co-jointly and firmly and sealingly shrunk to the connecting piece by back shrinkage. Preferably the clamping ring is made from a cross-linked polyolefin by injection molding.

A first element is connected to a first end of the connecting piece and a second element is connected to a second end of the connecting piece. At least one end of the connecting piece is provided with a thread, whereby the connecting piece is connectable for instance to a pipe or fitting with threaded connection. The connecting piece may be made of plastic, for example, the connecting piece is made substantially completely of thermoplast in such a way that the thermoplastic body is provided with a thread. The outer surface of the connecting piece is provided with a gripping member. The gripping member is formed and dimensioned such that it gives way earlier than the connecting member thread and/or basic structure.

The pipe fitting comprises a plastic body () and a reinforcement ring () around the outside of the plastic body (). The reinforcement ring () holds the body expansion under control. The reinforcement ring () is positioned at the distance (d) from the front end of the pipe fitting ().

Pipe fitting

A manifold () comprises a body () with a plurality of branch fittings () diverging therefrom. The inner surface of the body () is conical such that the inner cross-sectional area of the body () decreases in the direction of flow. The manifold () is particularly well suited for use in tap water systems. The manifold () can be manufactured e.g. from polyphenyl sulfone PPSU, polysulphone PSU, polyvinylidene fluoride PVDF, glass fiber reinforced polyamide PA, or cross-linked polyolefin plastic.

A first element is connected to a first end of a connecting piece and a second element is connected to a second end of the connecting piece. At least one end of the connecting piece is provided with a thread, whereby the connecting piece is connectable to a pipe or fitting with a threaded connection. The connecting piece is made of plastic in such a way that a metal insert provided with a thread is arranged at at least one end of the plastic body of the connecting piece, or the connecting piece is made substantially completely of thermoplast in such a way that the thermoplastic body is provided with a thread. The outer surface of the connecting piece is provided with a gripping member. The gripping member is formed and dimensioned such that it gives way earlier than the connecting member thread and/or basic structure.

A pipe fitting is made of plastic, such as polysulphone PSU or polyphenylsulphone PPSU. At least one end of the pipe fitting () comprises an external thread () for connecting the pipe fitting () to a mounting element, such as a pipe or a mounting piece, e.g. a tap. The thread () comprises a ridge (). Between the ridges () there is a continuous helical groove (). On the bottom of the groove () between the ridges () of the thread () there are protrusions ().

A pipe fitting for connecting at least two pipes, the pipe fitting () comprising at least two layers. An innermost layer () and an outer layer () are of different materials. The innermost layer (), which gets into contact the liquid to be conveyed, is made of plastic tolerating high temperatures. The outer layer () is formed of such materials that the outer surface is arranged to function as the provider of oxygen diffusion protection and/or the UV protector.

The invention relates to a branch piece for a pipework, comprising a body () including at least one branch fitting (). A connecting piece () is arrangeable in the branch fitting (). The branch piece includes a locking means made up of one or more parts for locking the connecting piece () in place.

The invention relates to a pipe joint for joining pipes with a bent pipe or branch (1) comprising a body (2) having an inner diameter less than the exterior diameter of the pipe (4) to be joined, and sleeve portions (3a, 3b) having an inner diameter substantially equal to the exterior diameter of the pipe (4) to be joined. Thus a step is formed between the body (2) and the sleeve portions (3a, 3b). The sleeve portion (3a, 3b) is eccentrically disposed relative to the body (2) in such a way that at the outer edge of the pipe joint the height of the step between the body (2) and the sleeve portion (3a, 3b) is substantially equal to the wall thickness (e) of the pipe (4) to be joined, and at the inner edge of the pipe joint the height of the step is less than 0.5 times the wall thickness (e) of the pipe (4) to be joined.
