The present invention provides an apparatus that includes a resistive control block (RCB) coupled to data lines of a universal serial bus (USB) connector charging port and is configured to change a level of resistance between the data lines. The apparatus further includes a sensing and adjustment block (SAB) that is configured to sense a predetermined level of overheating of the USB connector charging port and cause the RCB to increase the level of resistance resulting in the USB connector charging port to appear as a different type of port. In another embodiment, an apparatus includes a RCB and SAB. The RCB is coupled to an identification and ground lines of a USB connector and configured to change a level of resistance between them. The SAB is configured to sense a predetermine level of overheating of a USB connector and cause the RCB to decrease the level of resistance.

Communications via wireless charging

There is described discovery of a plurality of audio devices, and for the discovered audio devices are determined relative positions thereof and distances therebetween. The determined relative positions and distances are used to select a constellation of audio devices from the discovered plurality. This constellation is selected for playing or recording of a multi-channel audio file so as to present an audio effect such as a spatial audio effect. Channels for the multi-channel audio file are allocated to different audio devices of the selected constellation, which are controlled to synchronously play back or record their respectively allocated channel or channels of the multi-channel audio file. In a specific embodiment the determined distances are used to automatically select the constellation and include distance between each pair of audio devices of the plurality. Several embodiments are presented for determining the distances and relative positions.

Device discovery and constellation selection

A method to merge data recorded using a wireless external multi-microphone system is described. The method includes determining a communication delay between a mobile device and an accessory device. In response to activation of a camera application, an activation indication is sent to the accessory device and, in response, the accessory device starts recording audio. In response to a camera event, a camera event indication is sent to the accessory device. The camera event includes starting a video recording, pausing/resuming a video recording, ending a video recording or taking a photograph. An apparatus including a microphone array and a removing system. The microphone array includes a binaural microphone system having first and second transducers, and a voice microphone system having at least one third transducer. Multi-channel recording

A headset () comprises a body () and a boom (), on which a microphone is located. The boom () is mounted so that the position of a microphone () relative to the body () can be adjusted. The headsetfurther comprises a controller () arranged to process an electrical signal generated by the microphone () by equalizing components corresponding to high and low audio frequencies in accordance with the detected position of the microphone (). For instance, low frequencies may be preferentially attenuated if the microphone () is used when the boom () is in a retracted position.
