The present disclosure is directed to a retail box and a method of making a retail box. Retail boxes in accordance with the present disclosure can be manufactured beginning with a moisture impermeable paper or substrate, which is rolled on a core. Two halves of the box, or 'half-boxes,' are first produced, and then brought together to form a complete box. The corners of the complete box can be sealed with a caulk or other sealing material to form a moisture impermeable container.

Retail boxes and method of manufacturing retail boxes

The present invention relates to an adhesive composition applicable to skin comprising: (i) a polar oil or fat including (a) at least one triglyceride and/or (b) at least one fatty acid of the formula R&#x2014;COH, wherein R is a Cto Calkyl group; and (ii) at least one homopolymer, and/or copolymer. This invention also relates to a medical adhesive device including such adhesive composition.

Adhesive composition

Systems and methods for providing irrigation to plants are provided. The system generally includes a fluid distribution structure having a barrier layer and a hydrophilic layer. The fluid distribution structure can additionally include a plurality of channels. Each channel can be associated with a non-woven material or other volume providing element overlayed by a filter layer. A fluid supply tube may be provided at a first end of the fluid distribution structure, and a drainage tube may be disposed along a second end of the fluid distribution structure. Where the fluid distribution structure includes channels, a supply tube and a drainage tube, the channels generally extend between the supply tube and the drainage tube. Fluid collected by the drainage tube can be recirculated to the supply tube, or can be collected or disposed of.

Irrigation system and method

The present disclosure is directed to a retail box and a method of making a retail box. A dressing for preventing and treating blisters and for treating corns, calluses, warts, and other skin conditions. The dressing has a dressing layer covered by protective cover layer and a release sheet. The dressing has an adhesive composition on a skin-contacting surface. The dressing layer has a thick center portion surrounded by a flange portion. The thick portion has a thickness of less than 1.0 mm. and preferably a thickness of 0.5 mm. The flange portion has a thickness of 0.15 to 0.20 mm. and extends no more than 5.0 mm. from the edge of the thick portion. The configuration of the dressing layer, particularly when used with a hydrocolloid adhesive provides a dressing having wrinkle resistant edges allowing the dressing to be used in areas of the body having high mobility.

Wrinkle-resistant dressing and gently adhesive composition thereof

A dressing for use with ostomy devices. The dressing has a dressing layer covered by protective cover layer and a release sheet. The dressing has an adhesive composition on a skin-contacting surface. The dressing layer has a thick center portion surrounded by a flange portion with a hole to accommodate the ostomy device. The thick portion has a thickness of less than 2.0 mm. and preferably a thickness of 0.91 mm. The flange portion has a thickness of 0.15 to 1.80 mm. and extends no more than 5.0 mm. from the edge of the thick portion. The configuration of the dressing layer, particularly when used with a hydrocolloid adhesive provides a dressing having wrinkle resistant edges allowing the dressing to be used in areas of the body having high mobility.

Wrinkle-resistant dressing

A wound dressing having a metallic compound as an anti-microbial agent. The dressing includes a dressing layer that contacts a patient's skin at the wound bed. The composition of the dressing layer includes metallic compounds in which metallic ions, such as silver, are maintained in the dressing composition. The metallic compound is combined with a hydrocolloid adhesive to provide a highly absorbing dressing. As exudate is absorbed, contact with the metallic ions provides the anti-microbial effect. The metallic ions may be maintained in compounds such as zeolite and hydroxyl apatite mixed with a hydrocolloid adhesive.

Composition for wound dressings safely using metallic compounds to produce anti-microbial properties

A method for manufacturing end products such as wound dressings, surgical dressing, fixation wafers for prostheses, ostomy wafers, shoe inner-soles, and other laminated and contoured devices using a contouring and laminating station, a delaminating station, a driving station and a cutting station. A first outer layer having a backing film protected by a support layer is attached to a subject layer having predetermined malleable properties on one surface of the adhesive material. A second outer layer is attached on an opposing surface of the subject layer. As the layers are attached, the subject layer is contoured at the contouring and laminating station to produce a first intermediate product. The support layer is removed to produce a second intermediate product at a delaminating station. The second intermediate product is driven by the driving station to the cutting station to be cut into the end products.

Method for manufacturing contoured and laminated materials

The wound filling device and method utilizes an alginate gel that is used to fill the wound. The alginate gel is then overlain with a dressing containing alkaline salts. The alkaline salts leach out of the dressing and into the gel. After penetrating the gel, the alkaline salts initiate hardening of the gel and binding of the gel to the dressing. Therefore, this gel can be easily removed along with the dressing without the need of potentially painful and damaging rinses.

Easy-release alginate wound healing device and method

The invention provides compositions suitable for use as a wound dressings for blisters, corns and calluses or as fixation adhesives, especially for breast prostheses, ostomy devices and male incontinence devices, and the like. In preferred embodiments, the composition comprises an elastomer, optionally a hydrocolloid, a hydrocarbon resin tackifier, a non-polar oily extender and no more than about 0.1 weight percent of an antioxidant.

Wound dressing

A wound dressing is disclosed in which a thin layer of a hydrocolloid-containing adhesive material is covered on one side by a flexible, transparent or semi-transparent backing film and, on the other side, by one or more removable release sheets. Linear depressions are provided along the film-backed side of the adhesive layer and are clearly visible through the backing film to serve as guide lines, flex lines, and/or hinge lines in the use of the dressing. A foldable sacral dressing embodying such features is specifically disclosed.
