There is provided a method for a user equipment. UE, of a wireless communication network, the method comprising: obtaining a first measurement data associated with a determined position of the UE and second measurement data, the first and second measurement data obtained by performing measurements by the UE; obtaining a difference value indicative of a difference between at least one measurement value of the first measurement data and at least one measurement value of the second measurement data; comparing the difference value with at least one repositioning threshold value provided by the wireless communication network to the UE; and if the difference value exceeds the at least one repositioning threshold value, triggering a transmission of a repositioning request to a network node of the wireless communication network.

Enhancing positioning efficiency

Method comprising: ⋅selecting a subset of one or more beam pairs among a set of beam pairs via which a terminal and a base station are associated, wherein for each of the beam pairs of the subset, a suitability of the respective beam pair is better than a suitability threshold; for each of the beam pairs of the subset: ⋅⋅determining a respective set of at least two tones; ⋅⋅performing a respective relative phase measurement based on the respective virtual wavelength to obtain a respective virtual phase difference; and at least one of ⋅∘reporting the respective set of at least two tones and the respective virtual phase difference to the base station; and ⋅∘estimating a respective distance between the terminal and a transmission reception point of the base station emitting the respective beam pair based on the respective virtual phase difference and the preliminary uncertainty region.

Beam-based carrier phase positioning

There is provided an apparatus, said apparatus comprising means for receiving an indication from a base station, at a user equipment having at least one antenna panel, to provide beam reporting information according to one of a plurality of beam reporting formats and providing beam reporting information to the base station according to the indicated beam reporting format.

Apparatus, method and computer program for beam management

Devices, methods and computer program products for beam ranking for positioning purposes are disclosed. A network node device transmits to a client device a beam ranking indication comprising beam specific first reference data and beam ranking criteria for positioning for downlink transmission beams between the network node device and the client device. In response to a received downlink transmission beam selection indication indicating a downlink transmission beam selected by the client device based on the transmitted beam ranking indication, the network node device transmits second reference data to the client device with at least one downlink transmission beam according to the received downlink transmission beam selection indication.

Beam ranking for positioning

It is provided a solution for controlling interference in a cellular telecommunication system. An interference controller of the cellular telecommunication utilizes interference level information received from another cellular telecommunication system in controlling interference towards a target cell suffering from high interference which degrades the grade of service in the target cell. The interference level information comprises information on levels of interference between neighboring cells of the other cellular telecommunication system. The interference controller analyzes the received interference level information and controls communication links in cells of the cellular telecommunication system determined to cause the highest interference towards the target cell. The cells determined to cause the highest interference towards the target cell are determined from the received interference level information.

Inter-system interference control

An approach is provided for allocating bandwidth among a plurality of bandwidths for providing communication over a radio network. The radio network utilizes a plurality of cells. Different values of center carrier frequencies are assigned corresponding to the cells, wherein the different values are set to vary frequency reuse over the allocated bandwidth.
