The invention relates to a method, comprising: determining a power level value of transmitted wireless energy, and adjusting a foreign object detection method frequency on the basis of said power level value of the transmitted wireless energy. The invention further relates to an apparatus and a computer program product that perform the method.

Method for determining an execution frequency of a foreign object detection method

The invention relates to a method that comprises receiving wireless energy from a wireless energy transmitter device; determining a power level value of the received wireless energy; manipulating value of the determined power level to obtain a manipulated power level value; and sending the manipulated power level value to the wireless energy transmitter device so that a FOD does not prevent the power transfer from the wireless energy transmitter device. The invention further relates to an apparatus, a device and a computer program product for performing the method.

Foreign object detection manipulation method

The invention relates to a multi-coil wireless power apparatus () comprising a first wireless power circuit () connectable to a first resonant tank (), wherein the first resonant tank () is arranged to transfer inductive energy at a first frequency, and a second wireless power circuit () connectable to a second resonant tank (), wherein the second resonant tank () is arranged to transfer inductive energy at a second frequency. Method and apparatus for wireless power transfer

A device may include a multiple inductive coils arranged concentrically for operating according multiple modes of wireless power transfer. The device may include multiple layers of magnetic shields to protect device components from the effects of the magnetic field used for power transfer. Construction and material of multiple layers of shields may be based on addressing individually the different parameters of the multiple modes of operation and based on the combined effect of the layers in each mode of operation. In some examples, the device may include first and second ferrite shields each having different magnetic properties.

Multi-mode wireless charging

A keypad arrangement is used for providing electrical information to an electronic device in response to a manual pressing action of a user. The keypad arrangement comprises a number of depressable keys ( ) within a certain keypad area. Connection creating means ( ) are associated with each depressable key for providing, as a response to the depression of a key, an electrical connection through said essentially continuous conducting means. Input means for generating input signals to an electronic device

A power boost system for a portable radiotelephone (10) employs a booster unit (52) to provide sufficient power for operation of the radiotelephone as a mobile unit in a cellular telephone system, and a junction box (54) which, in combination with a mechanical holder (56) allows for hands-free operation of the radiotelephone in the mobile telephone environment. The junction box is provided with a speaker (62) and a microphone (64) to facilitate the hands-free operation. The desired output power level for radiation from a vehicular antenna (72) is provided by a gain-controlled amplifier (80) in response to a pulse-width modulated command signal (48, 90) provided by a computer (12) within the radiotelephone. A memory (70) within the booster unit stores power level data for the higher levels of power to be used during transmission by the booster unit, the power level data being provided to the computer (12) in generating the power command signal. The memory (70) also stores calibration data of the booster unit attained during manufacture of the booster unit, this data being provided to the computer (12) to compensate for measured values of received signal strength for accurate search of the strongest signal.

Power boost system for cellular telephone

An illuminated keyboard in which the keys are operable in at least two different modes. Each key is provided with symbols or areas of color which denote the different modes. The symbols or areas are selectively illuminated depending upon which mode is selected. Thus, in one mode, one area of the keys will be illuminated, while in another mode, another area of the keys will be illuminated. Thus, only the symbols or areas of color on denoting a selected mode are differentially visibly distinguishable by the user, assisting the user to press the correct key, in any selected mode.

Illuminated pushbutton keyboard

A power booster (10) comprises a power amplifier (5) and is coupled to a portable radio telephone (20) which transmits an RF signal at one of a predetermined set of power levels. A first detector (6) generates an output signal C indicative of the power of the RF signal received by the booster. The signal C is used to generate a reference signal rf from a look up table (8) in which is stored a set of values corresponding with the respective power levels. The reference signal rf, which indicates the required power level, is applied to a power control circuit (7) which controls the gain of the amplifier (5) to maintain the power output substantially constant at the required power level as determined by the value of the reference signal rf.
