A vehicle front body structure includes a lower side frame member and an upper frame member each extended in a longitudinal direction of the front body structure. The upper frame member is arranged above, in a height direction of the front body structure, and on an outboard side, in a width direction of the front body structure, of the lower side frame member. A damper housing is arranged to connect the lower side frame member and the upper frame member. The damper housing includes an outboard wall, in the width direction, affixed to the upper frame member. The outboard wall includes a deformation relief feature extended in the longitudinal direction along an opening provided on the damper housing for an associated vehicle suspension component.

Vehicle front body structure

A damper housing assembly is provided that includes a damper housing, a body, and a first member. The damper housing comprises a first material and the body comprises a second material that is different than the first material. The first member includes a flange and a protrusion. The flange is secured to body, the body is positioned between the damper housing and the flange, and the protrusion extends from the flange and at least partially into the damper housing.

The multi-material joint includes a first member comprising a first metal or metal alloy that is secured to a second member comprising a second metal or metal alloy that is different than the first metal or metal alloy. A sealant is positioned between the first member and the second member that galvanically insulates the first member from the second member. The sealant comprises a liquid elastomer and a foaming agent.

A combination closure and tabletop for a vehicle having a load-carrying bed and method includes a closure body pivotally and removably connected to a bed floor of the vehicle that defines a load bearing surface of a load-carrying bed on the vehicle. The closure body is connected to the bed floor when in a closure state for selectively providing and inhibiting access to a storage compartment disposed below the bed floor. The closure body is removable from the bed floor when in a tabletop state for use in a tabletop configuration. When in the closure state, the closure body is pivotable from the pivot closed position to a pivot open position. The pivot closed position is for inhibiting access into the storage compartment. The pivot open position is for providing access into the storage compartment. When in the tabletop state, the closure body is usable as a tabletop and access is provided into the storage compartment.
