A grounding clamp includes a safety lock-out which locks the operation of the clamp in the absence of a cooperating hot-stick. The lock-out employs a clutch which prevents the translation of the clamping members relative to one another until the clutch is disengaged. The cooperating hot-stick is required for the disengagement of the clutch.

An artificial intelligence (AI) based system for detecting defects in infrastructure uses an image recognizer and image data. A set of annotated training and validation data is generated to train and validate the image recognizer. The image data is annotated with classification data such as defect type and severity of the defect. Once trained and validated, the image recognizer can analyze inspection images to identify detects therein and generate an output report including the identification and classification of the defect, and remediation recommendations.

Artificial intelligence-based process and system for visual inspection of infrastructure

A grounding clamp includes a safety lock-out which locks the operation of the clamp in the absence of a hot-stick. A clamping member cooperates with a frame having an arm, and is selectively biasable by a user to translate the clamping member relative to the frame to clamp a conductor between the clamping member and arm. The lock-out cooperates with the clamping member to prevent the translation of the clamping member unless in the presence of an insulating tool such as a hot-stick.

A cross arm is provided, for use in a support structure for conductors within an electrical grid. The cross arm is made of a cementitious composite and has a rough 'C' cross sectional shape. Pairs of the cross arms are attached to utility poles in a parallel position on opposite sides of the utility pole. Alternatively, a single cross arm may be attached to a utility pole. Embedded metal or glass fiber reinforced polymer bars extend along the length of the cross arms.

The cross arm is made of weather resistant glass fiber reinforced two component polyurethane based polymers and has a 'C' cross sectional shape typically arranged in a double configuration. Pairs of the cross arms are attached to utility poles in a parallel position on opposite sides of the utility pole to meet predefined design conditions. Alternatively, a single cross arm may be attached to a utility pole.
