A drive system for a vehicle for variable distribution of torque, from a primary input and secondary input, between a left wheel and a right wheel of a vehicle, the drive system includes a first and second torque output shaft, one for each of the left wheel and the right wheel, an open differential, and independently controllable first and second clutch packs, configured such that: torque from the primary input is transferred to each of the torque output shafts via the clutch packs; torque from the secondary input is transferred to each of the torque output shafts via the open differential; torque from one output of the open differential is summed with torque from one clutch pack output in the first torque output shaft; and torque from another output of the open differential is summed with torque from the other clutch pack output in the second torque output shaft.

Drive system for variable distribution of torque to wheels of a vehicle

Disclosed is an 8-speed gearbox for a dual clutch transmission, with a particular gear arrangement of the gears on the countershaft, wherein the speed or reverse gear of a gear pair that is a permanently rotationally and axially fixed gear is the radially smaller of the gear pair. One or two cluster gears may be provided, each cluster gear having two gears axially paired attached to the countershaft by a shrink fit connection.

Disclosed is a double concentric clutch for a transmission having a power flow to both clutches that extends around an outer drive drum, and for an inner via an oil distributor. Parts are assembled using splines, and axial movements are limited using retaining rings which increases ease of assembly and disassembly.

A double clutch unit for a transmission, having an outer clutch pack and an inner clutch pack each having a clutch pack input and a clutch pack output, wherein a clutch unit input hub rotationally fixed to the outer clutch pack input side and the inner clutch pack input side, a clutch unit inner output hub attached in fixed rotational relation to the outer clutch pack output side, a clutch unit outer output hub attached in fixed rotational relation to an inner clutch pack output side, and an oil distributor rotationally fixed to the inner clutch pack input side, are axially slidable relative to a stator, and a spring-loaded bolt is attached to the engine side of a clutch unit inner power output shaft maintaining the inner output hub, clutch unit outer output hub and oil distributor in axial alignment with respect to the stator.

Double clutch unit in a transmission

A parking lock actuation system for an automatic gearbox of a vehicle is described. The parking lock actuation system has a closed state in which a piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder is in a first position urging a locking pawl to block a gear of the automatic gearbox, and an open state in which the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder is in a second position preventing the locking pawl from engaging the gear of the automatic gearbox. The parking lock actuation system further includes a first hydraulic valve being connected to a first hydraulic line, to a pressure source and a substantially non-pressurized reservoir, and a second hydraulic valve being connected to a first volume of the hydraulic cylinder, to the first hydraulic line and a non-pressurized reservoir. The first hydraulic valve includes an electrical actuator.
