Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a new method and apparatus for fixing the end of a roll of wrapping film web to and releasing the end of the roll of wrapping film end from a circular guide wrapping machine when a new roll of wrapping film web is installed or when the wrapping film web has torn apart.

Apparatus for fixing and releasing the end of a roll of wrapping film

A method for converting a wrapping machine into a transport condition, said wrapping machine comprising a wrapping machine frame, as well as a circular guide mounted on the frame, whereby, in order to convert the wrapping machine into a transport condition, the circular guide mounted on the wrapping machine frame is tilted with respect to the wrapping machine frame. The invention relates also to such a wrapping machine.

Method for converting a wrapping machine into a transport condition, and a wrapping machine

A method and a system for setting corner protectors on a load. In operation of one embodiment, an actuator retrieves a two corner protectors from a corner protector storage and provides the corner protectors to a corner protector transferring and setting system. The corner protector transferring and setting system transfers the corner protectors to a side of the load furthest from the actuator and sets the corner protectors against the two adjacent vertically extending corners of that side of the load. The actuator retrieves another two corner protectors from the corner protector storage and sets the two corner protectors against the two vertically extending corners of a side of the load closest to the actuator. A wrapping machine then wraps a film around the corner protectors and the load, thereby securing the corner protectors in place.

Method and apparatus for setting corner protectors on a load

A turntable for a wrapping machine for rotating an article to be wrapped up, the turntable including a rotatable round cover plate comprising two grooves in parallel with each other and arranged at a distance from each other that corresponds to the distance between the forks of the lifting fork of a pallet truck, wherein the grooves extend from the edge of the cover plate on both sides of the diameter of the cover plate and in parallel to the diameter, and wherein the grooves are adapted to receive the forks of the lifting fork so that the article to be wrapped up can be conveyed by the pallet truck onto the cover plate to be supported by it, and respectively off the cover plate.

A film delivery device comprising a first assembly which can be connected to a wrapping machine and a second assembly () which is pivoted to turn, relative to the first assembly (), about a horizontal hinge axis () between a closed position (I) and an open position (II). A first prestretch roller () is in the first assembly (). A second prestretch roller () is in the second assembly (). The film can be threaded by S-threading between the prestretch rollers (). The second assembly () is hinged at the lower end to the lower end of the first assembly () to turn about the horizontal hinge axis (). The second assembly () comprises a pivoted and spring-loaded first deflecting roller () which is arranged downstream relative to the first prestretch roller (). In the open position (II) of the second assembly (), that part of the first deflecting roller () which is close to the lower end thereof is resting against the surface of the first prestretch roller ().

Film delivery device and use of same

Wrapping apparatus comprises a dispenser, for dispensing stretched wrap film, which includes a first frame assembly, and a second frame assembly pivotally mounted upon the first frame assembly between a first closed position and second open position. A film roll spindle is mounted upon the second frame assembly along with a plurality of guide rollers, while upstream and downstream prestretch rollers are mounted upon the first frame assembly. When the second frame assembly is disposed at the second open position, the film roll spindle and guide rollers project outwardly in a tilted orientation such that the exchange of film rolls, and the threading of the film between the guide rollers and the prestretch rollers, is facilitated.
