A terminal for interacting with a signaling tag includes a controller capable of receiving information regarding a signaling tag at least partially over an air interface. The controller is also capable of determining whether the controller is actively operating an application. In this regard, if the terminal is actively operating an application, the controller is capable of performing a predefined action based upon the application and a state of the application.

Terminal, method and computer program product for interacting with a signaling tag

A method and apparatus for receiving an image associated with an interactive service on at least one social media server, the image belonging to a group of images. The image is stored and accessing of the image by a user is detected. In response, a request with an identification of the image is sent to a back-end server to access the interactive service. Interaction messages are exchanged with the interactive service so that the interactive service associated with the image is made available to users by accessing the image.

Image based interaction

In general, the present invention relates to a systems, apparatuses and methods. The system comprises in principle a mobile terminal device and at least one smart memory module. The smart memory module comprises a RFID technology based communications circuitry. The mobile terminal device comprises an antenna circuitry, a RFID technology based communications circuitry, a smart memory module interface, and a radio frequency signal switch. The antenna circuitry is arranged to transmit and receive data carrying radio frequency (RF) signals to/from any counterpart device being equipped with a corresponding counterpart interface. The smart memory module interface is arranged to interface with at least one smart memory module when the smart memory module is present at the smart memory module interface. The radio frequency signal switch is operatively connected to the antenna circuitry. The radio frequency signal switch is further adapted to switch the antenna circuitry to be operatively connected with one of the RFID technology based communications circuitry of the terminal device and the RFID technology based communications circuitry of the smart memory module. Means for generating a switching signal are provided in order to control operation of the radio frequency signal switch. The switching signal is generated on the basis of at least criteria whether the smart memory module is present at the smart memory module interface.

Device, module and method for shared antenna operation in a RFID technology based communication environment

A computer implemented method including: maintaining, in a storage, information about one or more sets of tags, wherein each set of tags comprises two or more tags, receiving, from a user device, a request for content relating to a certain tag, wherein the request comprises an identifier, identifying, on the basis of the identifier and the information maintained in the storage, a set of tags that comprises said certain tag, and returning, to the user device, information about content relating to said certain tag and information about content relating to at least one other tag belonging to said identified set of tags.

Use of multiple NFC tags

Various embodiments of the invention provide the browser of the apparatus with a NFC scripting programming language application protocol interface (API). The NFC scripting programming language API offers the necessary interface for NFC applications to the apparatus's browser. Advantageously the NFC system software can communicate and handshake with browser's scripting programming language engine. In various embodiments of the invention, a suitable scripting programming language extension having the necessary NFC library are included into the browser's scripting programming language library.

A terminal for interacting with a signaling tag includes a controller capable of selecting a signaling tag and thereafter receiving a tag type from the signaling tag at least partially over an air interface. The controller is also capable of determining if the terminal is actively operating an application. In this regard, the controller is capable of performing a predefined action based upon the tag type, such as based upon a tag type of 'Read Only,' 'Read/Write' or &#x201c;Transceiver in Show Mode.&#x201d; And when the controller is actively operating an application, the controller is capable of performing the predefined action further based upon the application and a state of the application.

A system, apparatus, and method for locating available information and services/applications via mobile terminals radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. At least one transponder is provided, having at least an application identifier and associated content, at a location that is accessible to mobile terminal users. The transponder is activated via a wireless signal transmitted by the mobile terminal. The application identifier and content from the activated transponder are received at the mobile terminal when the mobile terminal is physically located within a wireless transmission range of the transponder. Apparatus and method for facilitating physical browsing on wireless devices using radio frequency identification

A method and system locate a transponder that has an associated identifier and content data, at a location substantially accessible to a user of the mobile terminal. The transponder is activated by the mobile terminal with a wireless signal. From the received identifier and/or content data, the method and system select one or more of the stored data items according to one or more criteria.

A mobile station for managing context-related information includes at least one sensor capable of measuring at least a portion of at least one condition of the mobile station. The mobile station also includes a context engine capable of storing context-related information based upon the portion of the condition(s), where the context engine is also capable of managing an exchange of the context-related information with at least one context consumer. Pre-stored or bundled content such as programs can be enabled by using an RFID tag with suitable authorization information according to a process, in which the informs a host device of contents that can be activated with the RFID tag, the host device obtains respective authorization information from the RFID tag and subsequently refreshes the authorization in order to extend the activation over a desired period of time. Unless refreshed, the authorization is terminated after a given interval as of the authorization so that the substantial use of the content is subjected to the possession of the RFID tag and a license can be sold or transferred together with the RFID tag.

RFID authorization of content to an electronic device

The method, terminal and computer program product of the present invention are capable of adjusting the power consumption of short-range communication transceivers, such as RFID, IR transceivers or the like. Energy management of the transceiver is achieved by limiting activation of the transceiver to periods of user-interface illumination. The transceiver, therefore, uses less power because it is only activated by an intentional gesture by the user, i.e., a gesture that will initiate the illumination of a user-interface. In addition, the user of terminal is aware, via observation of the illumination, that the terminal is in an active transceiver reading state and, thus, the invention provides for a safe environment in which inadvertent reading of tags or data communication is lessened.
