A display apparatus includes a display panel to display an image, a first frame counter to count a first number of frames during a first duration and to be reset when the first number reaches a first reference number, a second frame counter to count a second number of the frames during a second duration and to be reset when the second number reaches a second reference number, wherein the second duration occurs after and is shorter than the first duration, a level counter to hold a count value at a first count value during the first duration, to change the count value when the first frame counter is reset, and to change the count value when the second frame counter is reset, and a common voltage generator to control a level of a common voltage to correspond to the count value and to output the common voltage.

A liquid crystal display includes: a liquid crystal panel including a first region and a second region; a first signal controller which generates a first representative value representing image signals of the first region; a second signal controller which generates a second representative value representing image signals of the second region and transmits the second representative value to the first signal controller; a light source unit which irradiates light to the liquid crystal panel; and a light source driver which controls luminance of the light source unit. The first signal controller transmits a luminance of the light source unit to the light source driver. A timing controller includes a receiver and a clock generator connected to output terminals of the receiver. The clock generator receives an external clock signal through the receiver and periodically modulates a frequency of the external clock signal to generate a modulation clock signal that is used to process a plurality of pixel data. The clock generator controls a delay time of the modulation clock signal based on a modulation rate of the frequency of the modulation clock signal. According to the timing controller, circuit blocks connected to output terminals of the clock generator are operated by the modulation clock signal. Thus, the circuit blocks operated by the delayed modulation clock signal may be prevented from malfunction due to electromagnetic interference.
