The device comprises a handle; an image sensor positioned at an end of the handle; a trigger provided in the handle; an image memory for storing the image data upon activation of the trigger; a roll of print media mounted in the handle; an ink supply within a core of the roll of print media; a media transportation mechanism; a pagewidth print head extending longitudinally within the handle; a guillotine mechanism for severing a printed image from the transported print media; and a print engine controller.

Handheld printing device for optical medical examinations

A wallpaper printer is provided for printing wallpaper patterns on print media. The wallpaper printer includes a cabinet assembly. A plurality of ink reservoirs are mounted, in a releasable manner, within the cabinet assembly and store respective types of ink to be printed. A print media cartridge is mounted, in a releasable manner, within the cabinet assembly and carries a wound length of print media. A platen extends away from the print media cartridge to support print media provided from the print media cartridge. A stationary printhead is mounted within the cabinet assembly to extend transverse to the print media, and is configured to print a wallpaper pattern with the ink and upon print media provided from the platen. A cutter module is configured to transversely cut the printed print media so that the printed print media can be separated from the wound length.

A printhead assembly has an elongate casing. A plurality of printhead modules is mounted serially on the casing. Each printhead module has a fluid channel member defining a number of channels extending along a longitudinal axis of the casing. A printhead tile defines a fluid distribution assembly mounted on the fluid channel member in fluid communication with the channels. The fluid distribution assembly is defined by a laminated structure of the printhead tile. A micro-electromechanical printhead integrated circuit is mounted on the tile to receive fluid from the fluid distribution assembly. The fluid distribution assembly is configured to supply the integrated circuit with at least ink and to adjust fluid flow to compensate for microscopic nozzles of the printhead integrated circuit. A securing arrangement is on the fluid channel member to secure each module to the casing in a replaceable manner and drive circuitry is arranged in the casing and connected to the printhead integrated circuits to control operation of the printhead integrated circuits.

A web printer is disclosed. The web printer includes a print media cartridge carrying a wound length of print media, a platen extending away from the print media cartridge to support print media provided from the print media cartridge along a print media travel path, a stationary printhead mounted within the cabinet configured to print a pattern upon print media provided from the platen. The print media travel path from the print media cartridge to the printhead forms a straight line. Also, the printhead extends at least the width of the print media. Ink reservoirs are also provided for supplying ink to the printhead. A storage stores pattern image data. A data capture device captures an identifier carried by a web sample. The identifier is associated with one of the patterns. When an identifier of a web sample is captured, image data corresponding to the pattern on the web sample is supplied to the printhead for printing.

Provided is a wallpaper printer having a cabinet configured to receive replaceable ink reservoirs and cartridges of blank wallpaper, and a feed system defining a media path through the cabinet, the feed system having pilot guides for guiding the blank wallpaper from the cartridges past a pagewidth printhead for printing. The printer also includes a heated platen positioned in the media path downstream of the pilot guides for heating the blank wallpaper prior to printing. The printer also has a pagewidth printhead arranged in the cabinet for printing images on the blank wallpaper, and a cutter module for cutting the printed wallpaper before the feed system feeds said wallpaper into a container configured to roll the printed wallpaper into a roll for storage purposes.

A printhead assembly for use as a page width printhead in a printing system includes a casing assembly for housing drive electronics. A printhead module is mounted in the casing. The printhead module includes a fluid channel member. Printhead tiles are carried by the fluid channel member, the printhead tiles having printhead integrated circuits incorporating printing nozzles.

An ink delivery assembly feeds ink from an ink supply unit to an inkjet printhead. The assembly includes an elongate channel member that defines a plurality of longitudinally arranged parallel channels through which ink from the ink supply unit can be transported. A plurality of spaced apart sets of outlets is serially arranged along the channel member. Ink can be provided through the sets of outlets to the printhead. Each outlet of each set is in fluid communication with a respective one of the channels.

The invention provides a printhead assembly for a printer which prints onto a moving web that follows a path. A full width printhead located across the path of the printer. The printhead is a color printhead which is at least as wide as the web. The printhead is supplied with a number of different inks which are remote from the printhead and which are supplied to the printhead through tubes. In some embodiments the printhead is retained by a rail which is located across the path and along which the printhead slides into and out of a printing position.

A consumer tote for a roll of wallpaper is provided having an exterior which has an access flap, a core access opening and, when the access flap is closed, a gap between the access flap and an adjacent edge of the exterior, an interior for rotatably locating a core in alignment with the core access opening, a coupling attached to the end of the core adjacent the core access opening, and a handle on the exterior. The coupling is arranged to engage a driving spindle through the core access opening that rotates the core for feeding of the wallpaper onto the core via the gap. The handle is formed by two handle portions which fold from respective positions on either side of the gap to a cooperating position in which openings in each handle portion align to form a grip.

A slitting mechanism for a roll media printer is provided. The slitting mechanism has a rotatable carousel of rotatable slitting shafts which extend across the width of a media web arranged to pass the slitting shafts along a path. Each slitting shaft has at least one slitter misaligned with at least one of the slitters of the other slitting shafts. Each slitter has a cutting edge. The slitting mechanism is selectively movable and the carousel is selectively rotatable to a plurality of cutting positions within the path. Each cutting position results in a different width of roll media being output from the printer.

A portable telescope assembly includes a telescope having a body that at least partially defines a printer body. An image sensor is mounted in the telescope and is configured to capture images from a lens of the telescope. An internal printer is mounted in the printer body and is operatively connected to the image sensor to print the captured images on print media. A media transport and cutting device is operatively arranged with respect to the internal printer. Controllers are mounted in the telescope and are configured to control the operation of the image sensor and the printer.
