The invention relates to an arrangement () for connecting a first fluid-conducting component () to a second fluid-conducting component (), more particularly in the exhaust gas line of a motor vehicle, having a seal (), which seals the components () at the connecting point, and having a band clamp (), which encloses the components () at the connecting point and attaches the components () to each other. According to the invention, the seal () is formed with a tab (), which protrudes at the connecting point after the components () have been connected and is visible through a separation joint () of the band clamp (). The invention further relates to a corresponding method for connecting a first fluid-conducting component () to a second fluid-conducting component ().

Arrangement and method for connecting fluid-conducting components, more particularly in the exhaust gas line of a motor vehicle

An internal combustion engine includes an exhaust-gas tract and a supply system for combustion air. A compressor of an exhaust-gas turbocharger is disposed in the supply system for combustion air. A turbine of the exhaust-gas turbocharger, a first particulate filter, and an adjustable exhaust-gas throttle are disposed in series in a downstream direction in the exhaust-gas tract. A low-pressure exhaust-gas recirculation line branches off from the exhaust-gas tract downstream of the first particulate filter and discharges into the supply system for combustion air upstream of the compressor. An exhaust-gas recirculation cooler, an exhaust-gas recirculation valve, and a second particulate filter with a filter mesh size of at least 50 &#x3bc;m are disposed in the low-pressure exhaust-gas recirculation line.
