A method of improving the condition of teeth in a human mouth by continuing events of applying a composition containing calcium and a source of OHions, optionally in combination with amino acid/protein containing casein, so that the composition mixes with saliva and forms a slurry, followed by swishing the result around in the human mouth; the method also including, between at least two continuing events, applying a more solid composition that contains calcium and OHand optionally casein, to problem areas of the teeth, such as where they are worn or chipped, and maintaining the contact by not intentionally removing it.

Method of improving the condition of teeth

A method of smoothing teeth by, for instance, filling in cracks, chips and eroded areas by applying calcium and/or casein and/or phosphate and a source of OHions thereto. The method optionally provides that very thin layer(s) of dental cement be interlaced with other applied materials, and that the results be maintained in contact with the teeth involved by application of a composition of matter that adheres to said teeth and holds the results in place, while allowing at least some permeation of saliva therethrough. The method can optionally involve application of a backing strip or tray or the like to secure the other materials in place, but this is not a requirement where the composition of matter is sufficiently securing.

Method of, and system for smoothing teeth

A system and method which enables application of a material to teeth (and gums), which material remains in contact with, and adheres to, said teeth and gums for a period long enough to neutralize acids in dental plaque biofilm, inhibit plaque from adhering to teeth and gums, encourage removal of dental plaque, and form a barrier between the teeth and gums and the oral environment.

Disclosed are articles and oral compositions which enable positioning material(s) which absorb oral fluids into controlled, direct contact with at least one dental arch, or portion thereof, of a subject at the location where teeth emerge from dental arch gum tissue, in a manner conducive to increasing crevicular fluid flow while maintaining a relatively dry application field for a therapeutic and/or cosmetic result effecting period of time. The method is applicable to introduction of gingivally absorbed substances and to treatment of, for instance, periodontal gum disease wherein bacteria is swept along in the crevicular fluid and lysed.

Oral fluid absorbing compositions and system for application thereof in a method of dental arch treatment

Disclosed is a method which provides for positioning materials which absorb oral fluids in into controlled, direct contact with at least one dental arch of a subject. The method is particularly applicable to treatment of periodontal gum disease where the material is made from a mixture of bicarbonate of soda, psyllium husk fiber and optionally at least one antimicrobial agent, in combination with a moistening agent and optional flavoring.

System and method for applying oral fluid absorbing material to dental arches, with application in treatment of periodontal gum disease

A dentifrice form consisting of a dry compound of sodium bicarbonate as an oral bactricidal agent and oral antacid, psyllium husk fiber as a delivery system being an absorbent expansive binder and a flavoring agent. The dentifrice form is then placed in a porous dental mouth tray which is lined with a permeable matrix moistened with potable water. The dentifrice form in the tray is then moistened with potable water and the tray with the moistened dentifrice form is inserted into the oral cavity and placed against the upper or lower dental arch so as to cause the dentifrice form to be in contact with the teeth and gums of the respective arch for a period of seven minutes. The process is then repeated for the remaining dental arch.

Methodology for treatment of the dental arches and periodontal tissue

An electrolysis needle includes a shank having an elongated blade extended therefrom, the blade diameter being between approximately 2 and 10 mils. The blade has a series of barbs formed on it and arranged in axially and circumferentially spaced apart relation. The barbs are inclined outwardly and away from the tip so as to facilitate insertion of the blade into a hair follicle and debriding of the follicle upon removal of the blade.
