A telescopic steering column for motor vehicles with a steering shaft 1, whose axial, plastic-coated teeth 1.1, which are arranged at least in some areas, engage complementary teeth 2.1 of the steering column jacket 2, which accommodates and guides the steering shaft and which is accommodated in a housing of the steering column, wherein a securing element 3 engages a recess 2.2 of the steering column jacket 2 with at least one hook-shaped claw 3.1 on one side and is supported at or in the end section of the steering column jacket 2 via a radially directed shoulder 3.2 on the other side and thus forms an axial displacement limitation of the steering shaft 1 in at least one direction.

Telescopic steering column for motor vehicles

A steering column assembly unit of a motor vehicle steering column adjustable in height and tilt with a steering axle, a steering column housing accommodating the steering axle, and a fastening device for the detachable fixation of the steering column housing at a bracket that is a rigid part of the body. The fastening device has at least one plate assembly fixed at the steering column housing and the steering column housing includes a one-piece component provided with longitudinal holes. A plate assembly is arranged in at least one opening of the steering column housing. The steering column housing may be advantageously manufactured from an extruded aluminum section. A central through hole of the steering column housing accommodates the steering axle, wherein the steering axle is held by at least two bearings pressed in directly.

Steering column assembly unit

A self-positioning motor vehicle steering column assembly unit is described, which can be quickly assembled, has a steering column, a steering column connection frame, a connection bracket fixed on the vehicle side, and at least one fastening device for fixing the steering column frame to the connection bracket, wherein the fastening device has at least two fastening elements that can be screwed to one another, between which a deformable spacer sleeve is arranged, wherein at least one opening, which comprises two partial areas of different size, is provided in the connection bracket.

Motor vehicle steering column assembly unit

A clamping device for an adjustable steering column of a motor vehicle for the detachable fixation of a housing accommodating the steering column at a bracket rigidly connected to the body of the motor vehicle. The device has at least two friction surface pairs, each of which consists of at least one friction surface arranged at the body bracket and at least one corresponding friction surface at the steering column housing and a tilting pin mechanism for generating the clamping forces, which is axially movable along an axis arranged at right angles to the plane of the friction surface pairs. The tilting pin mechanism has two individual, separately adjustable clamping mechanisms which can be actuated together via a synchronizing sleeve. The synchronizing sleeve may have a toothed belt gear on its outside, or it may have a hand lever.
