Compounds, compositions and methods are provided for reducing, inhibiting, or preventing corrosion of a surface, using a corrosion-inhibiting composition comprising a dispersant having the structure of Formula 1 and a corrosion inhibitor having the structure of Formula 2 wherein Xis hydroxyl, —OC(O)R; Xis hydroxyl, or —OC(O)R; Xis hydroxyl or —OC(O)R; R, R, and Rare independently Cto Calkyl or alkenyl; m, n, and o are independently integers from 1 to 10; R, R, R, R, and Rare independently hydrogen or —C(O)—R; Ris Cto Calkyl or alkenyl; p is an integer of 0 or 1; q is an integer of 1 to 4; r is an integer of 0 or 1; s is an integer of 0 or 1; t is an integer from 1 to 4; and p1, q1, r1, r2, s1, and t1 are independently integers from 1 to 6; wherein when p, r, and s are 0, q+t is an integer from 4 to 8 and at least one of R, R, R, R, and Ris —C(O)—R.

Described are compounds, compositions, and methods that include oxygenated aromatic amines, such as an aminophenol-, phenyl-p-phenylenediamine-, and diaminobenzene-based compound useful as antioxidants. The oxygenated aromatic amine includes a secondary and/or tertiary amine group having a nitrogen that is attached to one or two carbon-containing group(s), the carbon-containing group(s) having a hydroxyl and/or ether group separated from the nitrogen by one or more carbon atoms.

An anti-fouling composition has been developed that provides an advantageous reduction in the fouling of a structural part in a petroleum-refining system including reducing coking reactions and inhibiting deposition of solids in equipment and lines used for crude oil production and processing. The anti-fouling compositions contain a resin comprising an alkyl phenol-aldehyde resin, a polyolefin comprising a polyalkylene ester, polyolefin amide alkeneamine, polyethylene polyamine, polyalkyleneimine, or a combination thereof; and optionally, a polyalkylene imide, an amine-substituted polyalkylene imide, or a combination thereof; and optionally, N,N′-disalicylidene-1,2-propanediamine.
