An apparatus for testing the state of the optical system of an endoscope comprises a first supporting device for the endoscope, a test pattern and a second supporting device for the test pattern, wherein the test pattern comprises a pattern, which allows a check of the actual viewing direction and of the actual field of view angle within tolerance values.

Apparatus for testing the state of an endoscope

A laryngoscope includes a handle, a spatula arranged substantially transverse to the handle, and a coupling detachably fixing the spatula to the handle. An illumination light waveguide guides an illumination light signal and an image waveguide guides an image signal, both waveguides being attached to the spatula. The illumination light waveguide includes a proximal end having an illumination light entry opening, and the image waveguide includes a proximal end having an image exit opening, wherein the illumination light entry opening and the image exit opening are arranged in the area of the coupling. The handle includes, in the area of the coupling, an illumination light exit opening and an image entry opening which allow for the illumination light signal to couple into the illumination light waveguide from the handle, and for the image signal to couple out of the image waveguide. A centering element automatically aligns the image entry opening and the image exit opening precisely to each other.

Laryngoscope

A device for positioning components within endoscopic systems includes a hermetically sealed housing. An outer ring element is mounted to rotate about the outer side of the housing and carries on its circumference at least one outer magnet. Further, an inner ring element is mounted inside the housing and carries likewise at least one inner magnet, the magnets being aligned in such a way that any rotation of the outer ring element has the effect to move the at least one inner magnet by magnetic coupling, such movement serving the purpose to position the respective components. In order to achieve a simple, relatively small and functionally safe structure it is proposed that both the outer and inner ring elements be configured as axially displaceable rings carrying the oppositely arranged magnets, and that the inner ring be mechanically connected with the component to be positioned.

Device for positioning components within endoscopic systems

An endoscope has a head and an outer tube joined to it. Received in the outer tube is an inner tube in which optical components are received. Light guides are guided in the interstice between the interior space and outer tube. A closure element made of transparent material, which closes off the distal end of the outer tube in hermetically sealed fashion, is provided. The closure element has a window in the region of the inner tube. The window is surrounded by an opaque layer that shields the window radially from the entry of illumination light.

A coupling provides mechanical, light-guiding, and image-guiding connection of an endoscope to a camera module. It is proposed that a first cylindrical stem, in whose interior a proximal end segment of the light guiding system is received, project in the coupling direction from a coupling end of the endoscope. Also projecting from the coupling end in the coupling direction is a second approximately cylindrical stem whose length and diameter are greater than the length and diameter of the first stem, a proximal end segment of the image guiding system being received in the interior of the second stem. The second stem coacts with an interlock arranged on the camera module, for mechanical interlocking of the coupling. The first and second stems extend at a distance next to one another, and the coupling end of the camera module has receptacles, complementary to the two stems, into which the two stems penetrate. In the base, the receptacle into which the second stem enters is optically connected to the image sensing system of the camera module, and the receptacle into which the shorter first stem can be received has a light guide.

An endoscope has an outer shaft, in which an optical channel receiving an optical system is arranged, wherein in the outer shaft, further, a channel for receiving a working element, at least one supply channel extending longitudinally for a medium and at least one discharge channel extending longitudinally for the discharge of a medium, the discharge being separated from the supply, are arranged. The optical channel and the at least one supply channel and/or the at least one discharge channel are configured as chambers of a profiled shaft, which is chambered in its cross section and received in the outer shaft.

Endoscope

An endoscope, in particular a video endoscope, has an endoscope shaft at the distal end and a mount at the proximal end for attaching an optical imaging device, for example a video camera, and an endoscope housing between said endoscope shaft and said mount, said mount being rotatable relative to said endoscope shaft, via a rotary joint, about the longitudinal axis of said endoscope an optically imaging arrangement, which is at least partially positionally displaceable by way of an adjusting device for focusing the image transmission, moreover being received in said endoscope housing. Said endoscope housing is configured in continuously hermetically sealed fashion, and said rotary joint is arranged outside said endoscope housing.

Endoscope, in particular video endoscope

An endoscope has an outer tube that is joined to an optical head having an observation element at its end, which elements are sealingly fitted forming a first module element. An inner tube sealingly fitted together with a housing containing optical elements form a second module element having the optical components hermetically closed. The second module element is disposed in the first module element having its distal ends rigidly and sealingly fitted together. The housing of the second module elements extends into said optical head of that first module element and is supported therein allowing relative movement between housing and optical head when thermally stressed.

An endoscope has a tubular shaft in whose interior is arranged at least one component of an optical system. At least one support element made from a shrinkable material surrounds at least partially said component in a radial gap between the outer side of said component and the inner side of said tubular shaft. After shrinking of said support element the radial gap is filled up in a manner such that the component is immobilized on the inner side of the tubular shaft via the shrunken support element (FIG. 1).

A medical instrument has several components and being disassemblable into said several components, one of said components being rotatable with respect to another of said several components by means of a rotary element arranged on said another of said several components. A coupling for a detachable rotationally engaged connection of said one component or to said rotary element is provided, said coupling having two coupling halves engaging into one another along a coupling axis. On each of said coupling halves at least one tooth is arranged, each tooth is disposed at a radial spacing from said coupling axis. Adjacent to each tooth in a circumferential direction at least one gap is provided, into which gap of one coupling half a tooth of the other coupling half enters and fits, and each tooth is equipped in the circumferential direction with a bevel.

Dismountable medical instrument with a self-orienting coupling

The invention discloses an endoscope having an outer tube in whose distal end area are mounted an endoscope objective whose image is transmitted by an image transmitter to the proximal end of the endoscope, and a distal end window which closes the outer tube in a fluid- and gas-tight manner, and through which the path of the rays of the endoscope objective runs. The disclosed endoscope is characterized in that the distal end window and/or the proximal eyepiece window are glued in a manner known per se by their rim into the outer tube, the eyepiece cup or an adapter set into the outer tube or eyepiece cup, and in that a solderable ring-shaped layer is applied on at least one end surface of the end window for additionally joining the end window to the outer tube or adapter by means of a soldering layer.

A method for mounting at least one rod lens in an interior of a tube has the following steps, i.e. selecting an outside diameter of said rod lens in that an airgap is created circumferentially between an outer side of said rod lens in an inner side of said tube, positioning said outer side of said rod lens at a defined radial spacing from said inner side of said tube by way of at least two centering aids and effecting an elastic adhesive join between said outer side of said rod lens and said inner side of said tube.
