A polycarbonate molding having improved optical properties is disclosed. The molding features an angle of deflection &agr; (min) determined in a accordance with DIN 52305-A-AS of &lE;2.0 and a refractive index D (min) determined in accordance with DIN 52305-A-AZ of &lE;0.05. The molding is prepared from a molding composition that contains a branched polycarbonate having a weight average molecular weight of 25,000 to 40,000 and melt volume rate of 2 to 20 cm /10 min (300&deg; C.; 1.2 kg) determined in accordance with ISO 1133.

Polycarbonate molded bodies with improved optical properties

A reinforced polyamide molding composition is disclosed. Characterized in that its viscosity at a shear velocity of 10 s is greater than 1000 Pas and a shear velocity of 1000 s is less than 300 Pas, at processing temperatures of 40 to 80&deg; C. above its melting point, the composition is particularly suitable for thermoforming applications.

Thermoformable polyamides

A process for the preparation of a plastic composite is disclosed. The composite contains a first fluoropolymer layer, a second, middle layer of polycarbonate and a third layer of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. The process entails preparing a plastics composite of fluoropolymer and polycarbonate layers and applying the layer of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer to the polycarbonate layer.

Device and process for the production of plastics/metal composite panels

A process for the production of coated planar moldings of thermoplastics is disclosed. The process entails extrusion of a molded body, cooling of the molding, applying the aqueous-based coating agent and drying. The coating agent, having a pH value of less than 6, contains a salt of sulfondicarboxylic diester, a water-insoluble oxide of metal or semi-metal and an acid/water mixture. It is applied to at least one surface of the molding immediately after the production of the molding and with the aid of an application roll.
